Here is your chance to buy grandpa's Maverick. It may have a few battle scars, but grandpa did a good job preserving it. I bought this car at auction from a gentleman in South Carolina with the intent to eventually sell it. This is a true factory air conditioning and power steering Maverick. I owned two other mavericks and neither had air condition or power steering. This car has bumper guards and bumper rubber guards, full wheel hubcap not center dog dish, body side moldings which my other mavericks did not have, AM/FM radio, my mavericks had only AM radio, The rubber seals on doors, windows and trunk are in great shape, New gas tank and sending unit. new starter , alternator, and battery. Engine runs strong and quiet, no valve lifter noises here. No exhaust smoke of any color . Transmission shifts good and is good. A/C was converted to R-134. The under carrage of this vehicle is unbelievable, floors are 100% solid see pictures. Trunk in great shape, jack and original spare are there with jacking instructions. New trunk mat. Factory labels still on door jams. Have original owners manual together with vin metal plate with factory codes on it. If you know old cars than you know that this factory plate alone adds value and interest for future buyers or collectors. Similar to GM Protecto Plate. The trunk key locks the glove box and door key is ignition key as should be from factory. Tires are in great shape. Everything works except speedometer. If you are a mechanic or know one great. Leaf springs still have what may be a factory label, not sure, see pictures. A ding and scratch on left fender, ding on hood and only nickle size rust hole at right rear lower quarter panel see picture and some pitting on top of bumpers, otherwise a solid car. I think it would take very little to make this a perfect car or enjoy as is.
