Vehicle Detail
****Addition: 6/16/14: Fufilled Request to Prove Brake Lights and Backup Lights Work. Added Picture Proof. ****Addition 6/16/14: Fufilled Request to Show the Tires-See Gallery Below- They Are Douglas Tires, with Receipt from Wal-Mart for lifetime balance and rotation ****Addition: 6/6/14: Fufilled Request to provide any receipts or contact info for the engine changeover. Added that- you have a better chance of reaching Steve if you email him, if you call him, he works at dealership and he'll probably curse you out if he's there so he doesn't get fired for moonlighting. He is also very gruff(some might say a prick), but he is good at what he does. **** Addition 6/16/14: Fufilled Request for proof that gauges do light up at night and that Power Windows Work***** Click Here for Daytime Video of Camry Power Windows Working, Engine Demonstration Click Here to See Blair Witch Version of Camry Gauges Lighting Up and All Power Windows Working ****Please read the changes to the terms of sale, re: deposit(the Ebay selling fees were less than anticipated so it is lowered). **** ****Also: If you want any additional pictures, please just ask. If you want undercarriage, a picture of the title, whatever, please ask. But also please understand, please do so before you bid. Reason being, once someone bids, Ebay won't let me edit the auction further. **** REAL USEFUL AUCTION INFORMATION STARTS HERE: The Camry is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have any questions please call 828-644-3713, or wish to see any further pictures of anything I've not shown, please email and ask. I do not mind you asking questions, and I encourage you to do so. If you need to pay for the vehicle with a credit card, I can accept Paypal. I am not new to Ebay. My business's account is AppalachianMachineTool. It has 200+ positive feedback, many from selling cars. However, as Paypal and Ebay now sends you a tax statement if you do more than so much business a year, I am trying to keep the accounts separate, so I don't get screwed on taxes when I'm selling personal items like this car or my Shovelhead that I will be listing. It stinks to only have 5 feedback, but I know what I am doing. See the following videos: Click Here for Camry Video 1- Which is a Cold Start Demonstration After Not Being Run or Started for about 2 Weeks Click Here for Camry Video 2- This is a demonstration of the air conditioning working- the vehicle had just been cold started, it was put on Max AC with Recirculation and it measured at 43* Farenheit, and it will get colder. Colder than a well digger's ass, in fact. Click Here for Camry Video 3- Camry Gets Driven on Dirt Road, Brakes Demonstrated Click Here for Camry Video 4- Camry Drive Demo 1996 Toyota Camry 4 Door Sedan LE 4 cylinder 2.2 5SFE engine, automatic transmission.Clear Title in my name, no liens, no brands, not rebuilt, IT IS A TRULY CLEAR TITLE. 4 New Douglas Tires with Receipt from Wal-Mart for lifetime balance and rotation. Tires have less than 3k miles on them, with receipt to prove it. Ice Cold A/C: Within literally seconds after startup, the A/C gets down to 42 degrees Fahrenheit, and that is sitting still. Going down the road, with air flow on the condenser, you can see you breath. If you watch the first video, I prove this via the temperature probe. Gas Mileage: 35mpg to 38mpg on highway, 30mpg-33mpg around town(keep tires well inflated and rotated, control your speed, stay at a consistent speed) 4 Door with White Exterior, Tan Interior Bucket Seat with Console Shift Automatic TransmissionEngine, Transmission: Have 100k miles on them currently, they were purchased as a pair from a low mileage newer Camry, and swapped in. Clear Title- No Accidents, No Wrecks, No Body Damage . No Body Repairs. No Frame Repairs, No Rust Engine Oil and Filter Changed Currently: Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-30, Bosch FilterTransmission Screen and Filter: Cleaned and Changed 25k miles- Toyota FilterTransmission Fluid Sucked Out and Changed 25k miles ago: Toyota Brand T-IV Automatic Fluid Engine, Transmission, CV Axles: 100k miles- have receipts for changeover and swapShocks(Struts and Coils but you get the point) Suspension Bushings, Tie Rod Ends: 40k miles since being replaced. Front Brakes have 40k miles since last changed Rear brakes are new, new wheel cylinders- Wearever Silver Shoes, New Wagner Wheel Cylinders Body has been used 205,000 milesDriver Side Outer CV Boot Replaced and CV RepackedDefects: Windshield has crack, driver side front door handle has crack. The paint is scuffed in 3 places on the plastic bumper, there are dings from 18 years of driving and parking. The carpet is worn and is discolored, but can be shampooed or cleaned, as I've done previously- the car has a new car kind of smell currently from the seats being cleaned. It is 18 years old too, so it is not a new car. Why Am I Selling It ? I bought the car to commute with, I was going down I-85 on a weekly basis and racking up miles. I had the engine and transmission and CV's changed out and they now have around 100k miles on them. I no longer commute, I have 2006 Trailblazer, a 2008 Toyota Yaris, another 2008 Toyota Yaris, a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD, a 1996 Mercury Cougar and any proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will go into the brake overhaul on my International Loadstar 1600 Dump Truck. In other words, I'm car poor. So, I'm not dumping it because it's a lemon. I'm not trying to get rid of a problem child. I'm out of space to park cars. Even on our 100acre farm, it is a pain in the behind to find a place to park, so this Camry and the Cougar and probably some others are going to go. Buy it and drive until it reaches 500,000 miles. I am not joking. It's a Toyota, built with the bullet proof, high MPG 5SFE 2.2 4 Cylinder, the transmission has always been serviced with Toyota Fluid and Toyota Filter/Screen changes. See above for detailed specs. Terms of Sale: To Zero Feedback Bidders: Someone asked a question about the car being listed before and someone had bid. A guy with no feedback with the interesting user name of "Greg Byerly" put a bid on it early. Byerly sounds like Buyerly if you say it phonetically, which sounds kinda like one of those names a Nigerian scammer would make up. Plus, who the hell bids early on an Ebay auction anymore ? You use sniping software and bid at the last minute. In addition to bidding early to kill my Buy-It-Now, he got cold feet at the last minute. Besides that, zero feedback bidders are poison to an auction on here anyway. Everybody figures, hey- that's a schill bid. I don't schill bid. I don't want someone who is bored and has an itchy left mouse button hitting the bid button for a cheap thrill. If you don't have any feedback, call me before you bid. I want to discuss logistics about getting the car home, when you want to pick it up if you win, and how you're going to pay. We can also get to know each other, and find out what a small world it is. It will be like summer camp, except, not. Please ask all questions before you bid. Whatever you bid is what you are going to pay. A bid is commitment to pay that amount, it isn't a starting point for negotiation. So whatever you bid is whatever you will pay. I will not renegotiate the price after the auction is over, ask all questions before you bid, and I highly recommend you examine any purchase you're going to make- not just this car but any purchase- in person before you bid. Base your beliefs about this vehicle on the pictures that are there, ask any questions about things you're not sure about, if you want to see a picture of something to clarify its condition, just ask. That said, don't fantasize about the car, come look at it, or examine the pictures and ask questions so that you bid on reality and not on well wishes. Bid with the knowledge that I am honoring what I have stated in the auction, so you are expected to honor your bid. If you show up and start renegotiating, I am going to regretfully ask you to leave, and then I'll have to relist the car again. Acceptable Forms of Payment: Cash, Cashiers Check, Money Order. I can accept a credit card via Paypal under certain circumstances, call before you bid if you need to pay via credit card(Paypal). All Payment Methods Require a Non-refundable deposit of $125 due within 24 hours of the end of the auction, via Paypal. (Doesn't that suck ? Tell Ebay to not charge an automatic $120+ for fees on selling a car- they won't listen to sellers, but they'll listen to bidders. Because when the bidders quit bidding, Ebay will change.) Terms for Payment: Cash Payment: The remainder can be paid via cash within 7 days of the end of the auction. Cashiers Check/Money Order: If you pay via cashiers check, money order payment needs to be submitted within 5 business days of the end of the auction. It will take 7 days for a cashiers check/money order payment to clear. So the quicker you send payment, the quicker it clears, and the quicker you can come get it. If take your time to send a cashiers check/money order, it will take however long to arrive in me, I will have to deposit it, and then it takes up to 7 days to clear. Once its clear, you can come get the car. If you wish to pay with Paypal- you must contact me before you bid, I want to speak with you either via Ebay messages or call me. Please be aware that Paypal and Ebay can put a hold of up to 30 days on the money, depending on what kind of mood they are in, and other factors, like whether you've ever done a charge back before. If they put a hold on your payment, I cannot release the car until they release the money. Hopefully, if I send you the invoice directly through Paypal, we can avoid the problem. Shipping & Pickup: I am not a dealer, and I do not currently have a tag or insurance on this vehicle for you to drive it home on. You'll need to trailer it or get your own tag and insurance. If you choose to have the vehicle shipped to you, I can take the vehicle out to US Highway 64 and meet the vehicle shipper there for easier pickup. ***** I had someone ask me about the free version of Carfax that Ebay does. I looked through it, and it's pretty well bullshit. I used to buy and sell Mopar Muscle Cars heavily- check my AppalachianMachineTool account(originally vme2mopars). In NC/TN/GA/AL etc- if you buy or sell more than so many cars in a year you have to pay for a dealer license. I had to do that, and it shows my Camry as being at auction because I used a dealer tag. Also, if you look at the bumper, you'll notice that there is paint crinkled and scuffed- the stuff I mention in the description. That is the so called accident report on their report, which had to be done because the person who scuffed up the bumper was not a legal citizen of the United States, he also blew over .08, and the cop that was following his swerving ass saw him tap my bumper and made a report of it. Which was bullshit because the guy was not a legal resident, had no DL, had no insurance, and all it did is cause the damn mark on my vehicle report. Also, they're crazier than hell on the mileage they're reporting. I was working at Asurion in Smyrna TN(yeah, the assholes who screwed you on your cellphone insurance) and commuting there and then to Alabama. I also lived in Baton Rouge and went to school at LSU briefly, which is how I acquired it and it made it to TN. I was also dumb enough to let a former significant other title it in her name for a while in TN so she could build up her credit. But the mileages they have and the rest of the information is off. And I know the same thing happens with Carfax. Carfax had to pay me a couple $$$$ because one of my Trailblazers- according to Carfax- had no accident history and had never been a rental- well, it was a rental and had had the front bumper cover replaced. They paid up, but Carfax and these services are doggone near useless.**** Photo Gallery - click to enlarge
