Vehicle Detail

1969 Ford Mustang Hardtop302 V83spd AutoClean Title in hand. No reserve! Health issues force sale of this 1969 Ford Mustang Hardtop. I've had it for a couple years and just haven't been able to give it the time it needs. There is a lot of potential here for a really nice classic. I'll describe everything as best I can. I'm also including detailed photos. If you have questions please ask. Just remember that you are bidding on a project. It does start, shift and steer, but it doesn't stop so much. Could you throw some brakes on it and rip down the street? I suppose. But it does need work to be right. It will need to be trailered. Happy Bidding! This is for local pick up or buyer will have to arrange shipping. It will have to be trailered.Mechanical:Engine: The 302 is strong. Fires right up and sounds good. In the almost two years its been in my garage it hasn't really dropped any oil.Tranny: The 3spd auto is solid. The last time I had it out romping through the neighborhood (about a year and a half ago) it shifted smoothly.Brakes: It has factory front disc brakes and rear drums. The brakes need to be completely gone through.Exhaust: Currently just has shorty headers on it. Manifold seems fine.Cooling: I haven't had any cooling issues with it. It did come with factory air option but it is no longer there.Electrical: Well, most everything works. However, an electrical upgrade was high on my list. 40 years of people tinkering has taken its toll. The heater blows, wipers work, headlights work (I believe passenger light is out), tail lights work on both sides, brake light works on drivers side not passenger, turn signals work (in rear just drivers side). Starts right up without issue.Suspension: The last time I drove it there was a bit of play in it. Shouldn't take much to sort out, but there's some work that needs done. Body: Here's the real issue with this turkey. Please look closely at photos.Floor pans: The passenger front floor pan in the well area has been replaced. It's not a great job, but it's solid and sealed. The drivers side has some rust in the front well area. It's not horrible, but a new front floor pan will be included.Fenders: Fenders aren't bad. The should be easy to fix up.Hood: Hood could use a replacement. Scoop isn't original. There is a crease in the front (doesn't interfere with hood operation).Front valance: Needs replaced.Front grill and bumper: They are good. Bumper still has good chrome.Doors: Both doors are not horrible. Drivers door is better than the passenger. Passenger has some rust in the corners that's gone through, the drivers is pretty much surface. Window guides ect. need gone through. Drivers side isn't too bad but I pulled the glass from the passenger because it was so loose.Passenger quarter: There have been some repairs on it, but not extensive. Its decent with a little surface rust inside.Drivers quarter: Here's the worse part of the car. Quarter is shot, as well as the inner well. I have the skin for the quarter (new in box) that will come with the car. However, the rust has gone through along the top of quarter (near trunk lid) and up around the drivers side of rear window. Obviously the skin won't help this. Someone is going to have to do some fabrication or find a donor (see pictures). It does not appear to be in the roof area.Tail Panel: The tail panel is new. However, I have only placed it in position and bolted the rear valance, quarter extenders and bumper back on. It HAS NOT been prepped, fitted or tacked. The sheet metal around it needs repair first.Trunk: The trunk is pretty good. Interior: The interior will come together fast. The parts I have for it (carpet, door trim panels) are black, as going all black was the plan. Dash: Needs new dash cap. Glove box, heater, radio bezel all original and good.Seats: Frames are good. Recover and go.Carpet: Carpet is out but a new in box carpet kit will be included.Door panels. Have new trim panels (new in box) that will come with car. Needs new arm rests, weather strip etc.Steering wheel: Aftermarket.Headliner: Out, needs new.Glass: All glass is in very good condition. Windshield has one chip on drivers side. I have removed the passenger window and quarter window for door repair but they are there.Trim: Almost all the original trim, sail panels etc. are attached. There are a couple small loose pieces that are with the car.Package tray: GoneWheels and tires:Tires: Hold air, a hodge podge though.Wheels: All the same size but mis-matched. New Parts included loose or installed:Turn signal switch: InstalledHeadlight Switch: InstalledBrake light Switch: InstalledPrinted circuit board: InstalledBattery: InstalledTail light panel: In place, bolted, but not installed (see above).Rear quarter skin: Not installed. New in box.Carpet kit for 69', black. Not installed. New in box.Interior door trim panels, black. Not installed. New in box. That's about the list. There are quite a few miscellaneous original weather strip, body trim parts etc. that are included.
