Vehicle Detail
This was originally a 6 cylinder car. The car now has a period correct 350 w/ double hump heads and an Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock carb. The engine was rebuilt at Carolina Machine Engines in Johnston, SC about 4 years ago. The headers are ceramic-coated. I've put about 20,000 miles on the car since then. The heads were not rebuilt at the time, but are in decent shape. I also had a 700R4 auto transmission rebuilt and installed at the same time. The overdrive helped greatly improve gas mileage. It was built here in Cumming, GA at Transmission Techniques w/ a shift kit. The car is equipped with aftermarket Air Conditioning and a front runner serpentine belt system by March. The AC system was recently rebuilt. However, the heat and defrost are not currently working. I have not looked into this. The interior is in decent shape. The carpet is faded and the center console needs replacing. The glass is scratched on the driver and passenger door. The body is solid but not perfect. The paint is glossy and a very attractive shade of red. This is not a show-quality car, but a rather nice daily driver. I keep it garaged and do not drive it very often, but it will fire right up and drive well and dependently. The tires are still very new directional tires with new 17 inch wheels. The rear has air suspension. I rebuilt the front end about 2 years ago. The steering has been converted to power steering. The car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Please email me w/ further questions. I make no apologies for the car as I feel the car is well worth the reserve price. Originally 6 cylinder base model. Has a B&M shifter, I do not have the original shifter. Driver's door glass does not completely seal. This is likely due to worn out window tracks/hardware. Hood is from 78-79 camaro w/ small amount of rust bubbling through. Aftermarket AC is blowing cold, but Heat/Defrost need repair.
