Wholesale insured shipping available anywhere in the US! Here is this car's history... the complete story.. how many 30 year old cars can say that? This 1982 300CD coupe was purchased by Dr. Eric VonBaeyer on 9/13/82 from Dowd Imports in Cleveland Heights, OH for a grand total of $33,880.   Dr. VonBaeyer, who also lived in Cleveland Heights, was 72 when he purchased this car.  He used this vehicle to commute to the nearby University Hospital, where founded/directed the entire radiology department.   After 40 years, Dr. VonBaeyer was nearing retirement and his prized 300cd was only used for short drives to the hospital and occasional nights on the town with his friends from the world famous Cleveland Orchestra.   (Dr. VonBaeyer was also an acccomplished cellist and painter. )  In the late 1980s, the aging Dr. VonBayer met his wife Ruth, quite possibly due to the stunning good looks of his 300CD coupe.   Dr. VonBayer passed away in 1990 leaving his prized 300CD to his wife.  Included records show Mrs. VonBaeyer drove the vehicle even more sparingly than her husband.. quite possibly to the grocery store and back.   Eventually  Ms. VonBaeyer passed away and left this car to her son... a prominent local attorney, who kept this car in their memory as a spare vehicle.   Records show he loved and maintained it just as well as Dr. and Mrs. VonBaeyer, and after several years traded it into the local Porsche dealership towards a brand new Porsche.   I acquired the car from the Porsche dealer and have driven the vehcile very sparingly for the past few years to keep the miles low.   I planned to keep this car as my personal show car as I recognized how special it is... but my priorities have changed and I am selling to fund a new business venture.   Absolutely NO expense was spared on this 300CD.   Every single service receipt is included since new!!!   Literally thousands of dollars in receipts.. see pictures!!  This particular vehicles average service visit totaled over $1200!!   The three break-in period service tabs in the warranty book start the extensive record of documentation..   From there, the service booklet documents the vehicles early years where it didn't miss an oil change.   After the warranty period expired and the Mercedes dealer closed, their lead technician went on to open his own shop on that side of town where the car was serviced from there.   No expense was spared to keep this Mercedes driving beautifully.    Even all of the gauges work... yes, including the tach and clock.. as do all gauge and button backlights!   As you can see in one of the pictures below, this car cruises smoothly enough at 85mph with the cruise control on to take a picture!  New starter, new glow plug system, fresh oil change,  recent tires, and more. The Classic White (737) Paint is in excellent condition.  People walking down the street will stop and stare at this beautiful coupe.    This vehicle was fitted with the expensive and desired OEM glass european headlights which further adds to its sleak appearance.   All moldings, glass, trim, etc are original and in excellent shape!  All drains work properly and the cabin is water-tight in even the worst rain or carwash.    The interior on this coupe is even more stunning than the exterior.   Absolutely flawless Blue MB Tex (132) uppholstery, beautiful crack-free dash, all original wood trim, and a very nice black leather-wrapped steering wheel!   Even the original floormats are included, which have kept the carpets underneath in perfect condition!!   Flawless headliner,.and all vinyl is tight and true not cracked, wavy, peeling, faded, etc like every other w123.    It is apparent this vehicle was NEVER smoked-in, and is free from any sort of stains or odors.   Includes unused cigarrete lighter!  You will feel like you are in a time capsole everytime you drive your new w123.   The only real flaws with this vehicle are the rear windows only go half-way down and the power antenna also no longer retracts.   This car has a nice JVC head unit complete with upgraded speakers and iPod hookup for modern convienence while cruising in your classic Benz.
