Mechanics Special Needs work No reserve Highest bid will own it Up for auction is my 1998 Cadillad Eldorado ETC coupe. It has 136k on it. Black on black leather, factory chrome wheels, all power options and a moonroof. I got this car from a friend who was the 2nd owner. This car needs work. It's a fixer upper for someone who is mechanically inclined. I will list all of the issues below. The car ran and drove pretty well and I used it locally to run errands, etc . The trunk latch doesnt lock so the previous owner put a screw in the trim to hold it down. The rear struts are a little noisy over bumps, the exhaust smelled a little rich (maybe a cat converter)? The belt chirps a little and it could probably use a tune up. I let it sit for a week at a time and don't see any puddles underneath. The battery is a little weak and will probably need to be replaced. No state inspection. The biggest issue now is the trans doesn't shift out of first. Ive never felt a trans issue before, it always shifted great. Maybe is a solenoid? Low fluid? I really don't know, so expect a bad trans and your lucky if its a simple fix. My loss is your gain. On Jun-05-14 at 18:50:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Update #2. Drove it today and the trans is back to NOT shifting past 1st gear. I did notice that the speedometer isnt working now when it did previously. Maybe its a sensor or something simple?
