Vehicle Detail

2005 Jeep Liberty CRD Turbodiesel, 4x4 with 'full-time' and 'part-time' (2 wheel drive, all wheel drive for bad weather or 4 wheel drive for off road), less than 93k miles, Old Man Emu 2" lift, skid plates, ARB bumper w 8k winch, Green Diesel Engineering tune on ECU, Hella driving lights, LED backup light, tow package, silicone intercooler hoses, lift pump in tank, VG-EXC condition overall w a few interior stains as these jeeps w 'dirt-magnet' fabric all have, some surfboard wax in the back carpet, a few scratches & door dings, etc. but very presentable. The windshield was just replaced after some gravel chipped it following a dump truck on the highway so there're no cracks, chips or haziness. Really hard to find Jeep, especially w this low mileage, ready to roll. No bad noises, inappropriate smoke, never had to add oil between changes, runs out great. I've had this Jeep since '09, got it from older gentleman who was fastidious about maintenance, since then I've run nothing but Mobil 1 and synthetic lubes in trans & differentials. Hasn't done much off-roading as I had Kawasaki Mule and Dodge 4x4 cummins on farm, miles are mostly from female college student going to classes on 120 mile round trip several days of the week when we lived in FL Panhandle. What off-roading it did do was work related (forestry) and not 'muddin' abuse or other horseplay. I'm now remarried in SW FL with too many vehicles (or so I'm told) so the Jeep has to go... Jeep is in SW FL but delivery to N FL is possible end of first week in June. Mssg me for phone number, more pics, etc... Thanks, but I don't need any help selling it! These CRD Jeeps are a special breed, if you do your research you'll see they need some mods to be at their best and these mods cost money. Don't buy another Jeep and THEN pay to do what's already done on this one: - Chrysler Corp in its infinite wisdom didn't put a fuel pump in the tank of US Liberty diesels (but did overseas, go figure). Add Dodge Cummins lift pump in tank, $250. - EGR valve will stick, gum up things, etc so this has the Green Diesel Engineering ECU tune on it, $500. - Stock suspension struggles w weight of diesel and basically sucks. This Old Man Emu suspension is the best, about $800. - Stock intercooler hoses degrade w heat & time. Samco silicone hoses on this Liberty, $300. - If you offroad you need skid-plates but not all Liberties came with them. Engine, trans, transfer-case and fuel tank skid-plates from MOPAR, $350. - You gotta see what's ahead of you. Hella driving lights, $100. - You gotta see what's behind you and stock back-up lights are pitiful. LED back-up light above rear glass, $100 - You might get stuck or hit a deer! ARB winch bumper and 8K winch, $1400 All of the above is $3,800 in PARTS, then add labor to put it all together and you'll see what a great deal THIS Jeep really is! I've been asked what the WORSE aspects of the Jeep are so here goes: -I added 6 more pics: 1) There's a paint flaw on the hood, looks like sap or something got on it. 2) Two small dings by the front left door handle 3) Two scratches on the hood 4) Scratch on right front fender 5) Scratch on right rear door and 6) Dent on left front bumper sustained in Walmart parking lot. Of course they left their info (not). Some of these paint scratches and flaws should buff out, there are also some scattered spots of sap or scratches that just don't show in photos. -Interior stains also don't show in photos as they are more of a slight discoloration in places from use than defined stains with clear borders from something spilled. I suspect these will probably come out for someone who knows what they are doing with upholstery. -The brand decal on the top of the winch is a crispy-critter from the sun, welcome to the Deep South. -The spare tire cover has a small tear in it and is also suffering from sun exposure. -I've just discovered the windshield replacement resulted in a small smear of whatever they glue windshields in with on the edge of the headliner. You really have to look for it. - The Jeep has an accident history but it was a very minor 'chain reaction' where it hit left rear of the car in front of it with the right front corner, my daughter attempted to swerve to avoid the accident but was too close. The ARB bumper protected it with only a little paint lost around the bumper's turn signal. -The most annoying thing (to my wife at least) is the engine oil pan plug drips a little on the driveway, I think the seal, o-ring or washer needs to be replaced the next oil change.
