1932 Henry Ford Original running chassis. Rare opportunity to own a complete low mileage piece of history. The Holy Grail for the 32 collector/builder. This car started as a 3 window coupe. The body was sold in the early 80s ,and having a family, the owner replaced it with a Wescott phaeton body. Fast forward to today, and the phaeton body is being made into a hot-rod, and the chassis available for another build of your choice. I have had a lot of 32 Fords but none have had such a straight, rust-free and damage free chassis with all factory cross members. There is NO pitting even where the fenders were bolted to the frame. The engine was rebuilt in the 80s and has less than 1200 miles on it. Basically the phaeton was a trip to get ice cream and local show and parade car. The previous owner bought it in 1971 and I have the purchase paperwork, the old title, registrations and all the engine rebuild documents. The rebuilder was well respected in this area. A wonderful find! The tires are almost new, and again ,excellent non pitted rims. The frame has not been cleaned since the body removal 3 weeks ago. It can be detailed along with the engine and present itself much better. The oil pan is aluminum and the drain petcocks are straight down. It will need a fuel pump rebuild as it is starting to leak. Included in this auction is the LH exhaust manifold and the steering column (these have to be removed to take the body/firewall off). The gas tank is a brand new reproduction. The wiring and gas gauge line were carefully disconnected and may be re-used as is. I believe the total mileage on the chassis is 30K. It is available to be viewed in CT.
