Up for bids is a 1971 Ford Ltd 2- door HardTop. My father purchased this car new in 1971 and I inherited it in 1986. I'm the second owner and car has a clear title. I stored the car for 5 years frequently starting it on a regular schedule and then I put it back on the road to pull my boat in 1991. I then installed a trailer hitch at that time and also air shocks and a transmission oil cooler. The car was driven on the road for the next 7 years and then I put it back in storage in 1998 after I sold my boat. I have started the car and ran the engine for 45 minutes or more every once in a while for all the years it was off the road to keep it in good running order. The car has 54,344 actual miles on it. The car has always been taken care of and no one has ever smoked in this car. The interior is in immaculate condition and the exterior paint is original and looks good for it's age. The glass is excellent and the body is straight with no dings.The right front fender was repainted in 1973 due to being accidently scuffed up. The body has some minor rust but the left frame channel behind the rear wheel has rust-through damage that needs work (see picture). In the past year The engine was tuned up (new points, condenser, and new coil plus a new battery and master brake cylinder. The original window sticker is also included. The air conditioner probably needs charged due to sitting all these years because it is not blowing cold air. It worked 16 years ago when I last drove it. Everything else on the car works. There are no fluid leaks of any kind and the white vinyl on the top is in excellent condition with no defects of any kind. Buyer pays deposit of $500.00 through PayPal within 48 hours of close of auction. and balance to be paid in cash when car is picked up. The car has to be picked up at it's Middleburg, Pa. location by the buyer in person and transfer to be done at our local title service. The car is sold as is and described as accurately as possible with no warranties of any kind and sale is final.
