Up for auction is a very nice pro street 1968 Camaro. I am selling this car for my brother due to health reasons. I will describe the car to the best of my abilities. I will start off with the motor. It's a GM 454 studded 2 bolt main block .060 over. Has a GM steel crank, 6.135 Eagle H beam rods, Manley 12 1/2 to 1 pistons. Hastings race rings.King race bearings and Melling oil pump with 7 quart pan. Camshaft is a Crower solid roller nitrous cam 720 lift with double roller timing chain. Heads are fully ported square port aluminum made by ProComp with Comp cams S/S valves, Dart guide plates and stud girdles, Manley pushrods, Crane 1.7 roller rockers. The intake is a Victor 454 R. Carb is a 1050 Holley dominator #8869. New Pro comp electric water pump. NOS Big shot plate with Super pro shot NOS solenoid, with purge.SFI approved flywheel and harmonic balancer. Mallory distrubutor and Digital 6 plus ignition box. Hooker 2 1/8 inch wrapped headers 3 inch exhaust with Race bullet mufflers.Motor has around15 passes on it since being built. The transmission is a stock case 1.76 power glide with a TCI sportsman transbrake and 4500 Bradco nitrous converter, Quarter stick shifter. Fuel system is 16 gallon fuel cell with Barry grant comp 400 fuel pump #10 braided line and a BG 4 port fuel pressure regulator,with separate Holley regulator for the Nitrous. Rear end was built at J & J race cars. Its a fully braced 9 inch with 33 spline axles, full spool, 4.86 gears. Rear suspension is 4 link with strange coilovers. Front suspension is Moroso springs and drag shocks. Wilwood front disk brakes. The body is all steel other than the Harwood 4 inch bolt on cowl hood, all glass windows. Paint is very nice but not a show car, Rear quater panels were professionaly stretched when the car was tubbed, tires fit very nicley, The car has new hidaway headlights in the front, new tail lights in the rear, new door handles, locks. New trunk and door seals. The window stainless has been straightned and polished. Interior is fully carpeted with nice seats. Has a 10pt rollcage, autometer tach with shift light and gauges. Wheels are weld draglites 15x3.5's up front, rears are 15x12 with like new 31x16.5 Mickey thompson ET Streets. The car has a new painless wiring kit, all lights turn signals, brake lights work like factory. I have the wiper motor and the wiring is there it just doesn't clear the valve cover. Only thing missing is the heater box. My brother has owned this car for over 10 years and it has been garage kept since built with probably only a 1000 street miles. The car works very well. It has around ten quarter mile passes on the motor with the best being a 10.30@131mph. It has around five 1/8th mile passes on nitrous with 180hp jets. The best being a 5.89@ 119mph with a 1.35 60ft. on an unprepped track. Car has only been raced on the ET Streets and has never been on slicks. The car was cut off early and coasted through at a 9.40 quarter mile. Upping the nitrous and putting the car on slicks it would easily get in the 8's and is fully capable of being drove on the street. This car is perfect to take to cruise ins or grudge style races.
