Vehicle Detail
Last year of Ford Ranchero GT made in very good condition with 351M & auto trans. Car has never been wrecked and body is straight. Has what appears to be oringinal paint with the usual minor dings and a few small rusty spots, but nothing major. Interior has the GT guages, is all original and everything works. I started doing the restoration on this car and replaced the following parts and done the following work: - New Wolverine Blue Racer camshaft, Edelbrock Performer specs - New lifters, timing chain set, pushrods, rocker arms & fulcrums - Fresh cylinder heads 3 angle valve job - New ceramic coated shorty headers - Edelbrock Performer EGR intake - Rebuilt carb - New water pump - All new water hoses - All new belts - New fan clutch with 7 blade fan - Rebuilt 3 row radiator - A/C converted to R134 - New sensors & heater control valve - New cap, rotor, spark plugs & wires - New battery cables - New fuel pump, fuel tank strainer, sending unit float, & fuel lines - Dual snorkel air cleaner - New shocks - New idler arm - New rear springs & rear control arm bushings - Transmission fluid & filter changed & new shift modulator - Rear end fluid changed - Brakes checked & are in great condition - 17"front & rear rally wheels with chrome trim rings & Police Interceptor caps - New 2.5" catalytic converters - New 2.5" aluminized dual exhaust with Hooker Aerochamber mufflers - New instrument guage bulbs, all work - New headlight & hi-lo beam switches - New door hinge pins & bushings Car has A/C, power steering, power brakes, & cruise control. Odometer shows 93,xxx miles and I don't know if it's on it's second turn. It may be a low mile motor because I was gonna rebuild the motor thinking it was well into it's second turn, but when I pulled the heads there was very little wear on the cylinders still showing the honing crosshatch with no ridge on top of cylinders either. Car has 2.79 rear gears, so it's lived it's life in the low rpm range. Car runs great has good torque, doesn't smoke or burn oil. Cam has exact same specs as Edelbrock Performer cam and runs super clean passing smog with very very low emissions. Car starts right away & doesn't miss a beat. Runs super cool with 7 blade fan & clutch. Car needs a headliner as seen in pic, but I have a brand new one with material for visors as well. I was gonna put a sterio in it so stock radio is out, but I have it. Car has not been cut or butchered at all. Obviously car needs finishing with some minor body work and paint and I'd replace all the weatherstrip if I was gonna keep it. Mechanically it is sound with a tight front end and suspension, and I've probably forgotten to list some of the work I've done. Wheels are 17 rallys with 235/55/17 fronts, & 245/55/17 rears. Price is OBO and the car needs to go, I just don't have the time to finish it. If you can find a better one for the price, buy it as these cars go for about $10K finished. Car has current registration and I have the clean title for it. Call me at 562-650-8081 with your offers & for any questions, or to see/drive it. Car must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction end via PayPal or cash on pick up. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs if shipping required. Reserve right to end auction early as car is for sale locally as well.
