Up for sale is one of those once in a lifetime cars. I purchased this Mustang from the original owner who is 86 years old and can be reached to verify everything I will describe about this car. I dealt mostly with his son (who is in his 60's) as the Father no longer drives. Originally purchased from Woodbridge Motors in N.J. on May 18, 1967. The owner lived just a few miles from the Ford Dealer and just up the road from where the car was built in Metuchen, NJ. When you see the paperwork that has been gathered and saved by the owner, you will get an indication of what a car enthusiast he is. Never an accident, never rusted, always properly serviced and pampered by a true collector. Guaranteed original miles. Every single panel on the car has it's original date code, every single item works as it should, the motor purrs like a kitten, transmission shift smooth and crisp, just like 1967 all over. The car was repainted in the correct Candy Apple Red some time ago and shows extremely well. The doors, trunk and hood all close with the push of a finger with that distinctive "click" of properly aligned panels. Every window goes up and down effortlessly, all locks work, every gauge and electrical item works, all mechanical items are perfect, no leaks under the car whatsoever, it sits properly, accelerates as it should, stops with no pulling, no shimmy on the highway, power steering makes parking a breeze, and on and on. It really is remarkable to drive. The interior on the car is mostly original and only the bottom cover on the driver's seat needed replacement from a seam separation (replaced with the correct cover), new Scott Drake door sill plates, and a new dash bezel. The dash pad is crack free, headliner flawless, visors excellent, new floor mats put over the original rugs, all the date coded seat belts are there, the seat slides work perfectly, all the handles and cranks were replaced because of slight pitting, console is nice and all original with the shift light still working, the sliding console door slides up and down properly, even the light inside the sliding door still works. NO EXCUSES to be given.The optional "Sprint" package, which was only offered with the 6 cylinder in 1966, sold so well that Ford expanded it to include the V-8 in '67. Take a look at what options came with the Sprint package (by clicking on the big pictures) and you will find they are all there, even the Firestone Wide Oval tires (I think the spare is the original one). The original jack and handle have been restored and work perfectly. Many, many original parts still on the car including all the proper headmarks on the bolts. All the hoses and clamps have been renewed with the correct items. A new water pump, heater core (still have originals) Ford Carburetor and master cylinder have been put on along with a correct single exhaust system.The car was last registered in 1996 (Inspection sticker still there) so when I got it, I went through the car to make sure it was road worthy and safe. What a pleasure to see how much was original. The floor and bottom side of this Mustang is rock solid with no signs of ever having been tampered with. It still has the Dealer undercoating. It's one of those cars you have to drive and see to really appreciate. Still has it's original glass!The Reserve I have put is very realistic and you will have to search far and wide to duplicate this car. It has never been in the hands of anyone but us 2 old timers who happen to have a passion for nice cars. Please make arrangements to come see the car if you can, just give me some heads up.
