This is an all electric vehicle. I bought this 2008 Dealer Demo model with 727 miles on it in May of 2009. It featured the upgraded factory AC Electric Drive Motor system. The standard unit includes an aluminum alloy frame and ABS Body parts, six 12 VDC AGM batteries in series for a 72 Volt system. This is a “Low Speed Vehicle” registered in Wisconsin for a top speed of 25 MPH. The dealer installed additional acoustic dampening material and I have installed a “Battery Life Saver.” It also comes with a spare set of “snow” tires. There are two small cracks on the body (see photos): approx one inch near the driver’s door, and approx six inches on the rear hatch. I basically mistreated the batteries in my first winter by leaving the car plugged in all winter and not driving it. It went from a range of 30-40 miles on a charge to about 15 miles after that. I am now down to 2-5 miles. As the range declined my use of the car also declined and haven't driven it in 18 months. Six new AGM batteries will cost about $1,200. This is a great little commuter car, for going to the local store shopping, etc. and even more fun when you drive past the gas station as it gets the equivalent of 245 MPH but using no gas! This car needs to be near a good electric golf car mechanic or a do-it-yourself tinkerer. Pick-up only, no delivery.
