Up for auction is this 1959 Biscayne 2 door sedan that I recently purchased with an uncertain intent and have now decided to sell it because I would rather focus on other projects. Although this would not be a project for the faint at heart, it is a good car to build with some rare qualities. Orignally a 283 car with PG trans and power steering it is now without a drivetrain. It's unique in that it is a rare color (Cameo Coral) and it was ordered with EZI glass, padded dash, two speed wipers, radio, and factory air conditiong. Most Biscaynes I've seen have few, if any, options. The engine bay is stripped of most componets including the AC unit; but the AC dash controls are still in place. The glass is missing on the drivers side door; but the rest of the glass is present. The passenger side rear quarter glass looks cracked. Front and rear seats are present as well as door panels except the drivers door panel. The frame (I'm told) is a Canadian frame. Please note that there's a lot of rust and areas of rot. The floors and the trunk will need replacing. There are small areas of rot through on the front fenders, rockers, and rear of the car both in the quarters and the rear panels. And that's all I really know about the car. I know of a place that has an ideal parts car in Washington state that would greatly help restore this car if someone is really interested. Please note that there is no title nor any paperwork with the car and that's how I got it. For CA buyers, I have had a peace office complete a VIN verification form so that a title search can take place. I'm not sure if an out of state buyer will be able to use this document but it goes with the car. The car has one license plate on the front that's a "73 plate from Missouri. Serious bidders only please as this is a NO RESERVE auction. I have dropped the price considerably because I need it to move. Car is being sold "as is/where is". It's the winning bidders resposibility to arrange for shipping if not trailering the car home in person. Potential bidders please do your homework for having the car hauled from Sacramento zip 95820 to your location as it can be expensive and they charge more for non running cars.
