1972 Corvette - #'s matching - 4 speed - California Car I am listing this car for my parents. 1972 Chevy Corvette with T-tops - This is a garage kept life long California car that still retains all of its original running gear. My parents purchased this car a couple of years ago from the 2nd owner. The second owners purchased the car from the original owners in 1990. This car has never been abused and has been well preserved. 1972 was the last year for Chrome front and rear bumpers...and is the best looking of the C-3 Vettes. These early C-3 Corvettes are rapidly increasing in value....and this car has a lot going for it. The 2nd owners had the car repainted in 1997. The paint still shows very nicely but does show some minor blemishes. The paint appears to be a high quality base coat clearcoat job and has a very nice deep shine. As per 2nd owners...the car has never been in an accident. The body lines line up very nicely. The car also sports an LT-1 hood. The rear window is removable as well. The leather interior is in excellent original condition. The dash is NOT cracked. The dash bezel and center console etc... are in excellent condition as well. The door panels do have some very very minor cracking in the armrest area but does not detract from the interior. The original leather seats do show some wear but still present very nicely. The carpet was replaced at some point in time and is very nice. The car still retains the original "Astro Ventilation"side glass. Everything works....including the all the lights....wipers...radio...heater...gauges... The tach is inop. 2 sets of T-tops are included with the sale...a glass set...and a solid set. The numbers matching 350 runs great....there are no knocks...ticks... smoke etc. The original Muncie 4 speed was freshened up last year and shifts nice and smooth. A new clutch... pressure plate...and throwout bearing was installed at that time. My parents have the receipt for the work done....as it was done at a reputable transmission shop. The car runs...drives....and stops excellent. The car has power steering and 4 wheel disc brakes. 15x8 Corvette rally wheels and deep tread 60 series tires keep the car on the road. This car will make someone an excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser. Keep in mind that this is a garage kept 3 owner California Corvette with matching numbers.
