I am listing this truck for a friend. He is the builder as well as the owner of this classic truck. I will describe the truck as the seller described it to me. He is selling his 1950 Ford F6 truck equipped with a 780 Holmes split boom wrecker bed which is complete with outriggers. This is a fully restored, fully functional vintage classic wrecker. Everything works as designed and works very well. It is powered by a 460 cubic inch Ford engine which has 150 miles since being totally rebuilt. Behind this powerful motor is a heavy duty 4 speed transmission and 2 speed rear differential. A new 4 core radiator takes care of the cooling. It breathes through dual 6" Chrome stacks. The truck is completely rewired with a 12 volt electrical system and alternator. All gauges were replaced and are fully functional. It has fully functioning fender mounted factory turn signals. The truck is equipped with power drum brakes and power assist steering and rolls on new tires which were installed at the time of the restoration. It also has dual upgraded saddle tanks with new switch over mechanism. The cab has been upholstered with matching seat, door panels, sun visors and headliner made of rugged Red vinyl for strength and durability. The doors are properly aligned and the windows operate as designed. All glass ,felts, and rubbers were installed during the restoration. The original radio is still present in the unmolested dash, but is not connected at this time. The paint is driver quality because this truck was built to work as well as show. The paint is complimented with very unique custom lettering. This workhorse sports such rare features as a Stainless steel grille, Stainless steel "Big Job" hood trim and factory correct chrome "Bird" hood ornament. It is also equipped with a vintage revolving "Federal" beacon light, work lights on the wrecker bed, backup lights and 2 fully operational spotlights in the cab for safety. Dual chrome air horns are mounted on top of the cab and will clearly let everyone know you are present. Other working equipment includes but is not limited to the following options: *8000 lb Ramsey winch mounted on the front bumper *2 separate PTO's on bed *2 Hand crank winches on bed *Outriggers for lifting huge loads from either side of the bed. *Car hauling dollies This vintage classic wrecker is ready to show or work. It will lift huge amounts of weight from any position. It is totally functional. I feel sure the new owner will not have to worry about anyone having a truck just like this one.
