Vehicle Detail

Listing this car at No Reserve. It will sell. 1967 Chevelle Coupe. 2nd owner. Marina Blue/Bright Blue Survivor. Over 100 pictures below! Background: This car was owned by Norma Demaestri from 1967-1999. Ordered new by her husband; she used the car as her driver around the Bay Area. When she passed away in 1999 the car was parked in the garage until I purchased it from her son last year in Sonoma, California. Car is a lifelong California and Bay Area car. Still has its San Francisco License Plate frames. Clear California title in my name. Currently registered in California with it's original Black Plates. I brought the car up here to Lacey, Washington with me and it is stored in my garage here. You will be hard pressed to find another original paint, Marina Blue 67 Chevelle with this much documentation. Body/Paint: The car retains the majority of its original paint and body panels. It is a factory Marina Blue car. The car has had some touch up work as seen in the pictures in the rear quarters from the original owner dinging or scratching them up. Most of this touch up work is from the 70's or 80's. The rear window and front window areas are solid. Quarters, rockers, fenders, hood, trunk, roof, doors are solid. Floors and Trunk are cherry. All trim is present and straight. Factory bumper guard and door edge guard car. They are sitll present and in good shape. This car attracts an incredible amount of attention with the original patina paint. Attracts more attention than my show quality painted cars. I refinished the trunk area. It retains its original Laredo spare tire, bumper jack, lug wrench and jack instructions. Underneath is nice and dry. Garage stored since new. Jambs are immaculate with original GM and service decals. Doors, trunk and hood open like new. Doors open and close like butter and have zero sag. Windows roll up and down with ease. All glass is nice except windshield has a crack near center top. All window trim is straight and nice. I have not waxed nor detailed the exterior in any way. Car was built in Fremont, California and broadcast sheet was found under the rear seat and is pictured below. Engine/Transmission/Rear/Suspension: Car runs excellent! 283 V8/Automatic Powerlgide/10 bolt rear end. I have left the car sitting a week or two and it starts right up after two pumps of the gas. Idles smooth and no hassles when cold. There is a receipt present from 1997 for a 500 mile check and re-torque after engine rebuild. That being said this engine only has two years of use, if that since being refreshed and you can tell when you drive it. There are receipts from the same time frame for brake hoses, transmission leak check and service, and power steering hoses. I've had local Chevelle experts come over to document some of the items on this engine for their future use. All the SMOG equipment is intact. I even have the GM SMOG manual for it. Original spark plug wire separators, original canister style oil filter (never converted to spin on), tower clamps, electrical connections etc. Washer nozzles all hooked up. I had all fluids changed. Flushed the fuel system and had the radiator leak checked/flushed. My intentions were to make this a safe, comfortable driver for summer while retaining its original look. Brakes are soft and would recommend a brake job as well as a new exhaust in the near future or before a long trip. Steering feels relatively tight (better than my newer truck) Underneath is very dry and the springs even have some of the original tags on them. Car was optioned new with the rare Mag Wheel caps and they are all still present. Gives the car a nice period look and I can't remember the last time I saw a car with them. I have not painted or detailed the engine compartment on purpose. Original paint on inner fenders, core support, firewall etc. Interior: Factory Bright Blue interior car. Was reserved for Super Sports and Marina Blue cars from what I understand. I had the carpet and front seat redone to original but, have the original carpet with manufacturers tags if you want it. Original dash pad, door panels, rear seat etc. All lace is in nice shape. Some sun damage on top of rear seat. Car needs a headliner. Dash is in nice shape and retains its original radio. Dash pad is original and very nice. Replacement original floor mats. I replaced the parking brake pedal as the original one was sloppy in my opinion. I would guess it was due to its frequent use with the San Francisco hills. Underneath the dash is like a time capsule. This cars has never been hacked into or messed with. Original paint on dash and original tire pressure sticker. Steering wheel and seat belts in nice shape. Floors retain original blue factory overspray on them. Broadcast sheet was found under rear seat and is pictured below. Documentation: Car has the original Protecto Plate, owners manual, options manual, SMOG manual, several old registrations, receipts, plastic sleeve, random items found in between the seats from over the years etc. Car still has California pink title in my name and is currently registered with its original Calfiornia Black Plates! I may entertain trades. Really need the space and money to pay some bills off. I have listed the car at No Reserve as I'm comfortable that the market for a 1967 Chevelle like this is and will always be strong. In my opinion 1967's are the best looking year by far and this one has my favorite colors. Good luck and I hope the car goes to a good home that will appreciate its originality.
