Beautiful Survivor/Driver Level 1966 Mercedes Benz 250SL This is the perfect SL to enjoy immediately and improve over time or take it to the next level! Fender Spot Welds and Headlight Weep Lines with Original Body Number Stamped Hood! Very few SL exist today with the Spot Welds and Weep Lines! Lovely Color Combination of 158H White-Grey over Navy MBTex and Navy Top Numbers Matching M129.982 Engine starts right up, Transmission Shifts Smoothly, Drives Smooth and Straight. Please watch the Video! The paint shines up nicely and looks great from 5-10 feet! There are some scratches and imperfections; however, you can enter the SL into a local show without hesitation. Floorboards are Original and Solid with a patch in the driver rear floorboard and small patches are the front floorboard seams, see pics. Jack, Lug Wrench and Spare Tire The Interior is in great condition! Glass is all in great condition and the chrome and stainless trim present well! I drove the SL this past weekend for several hours without issue. Candidly, I have not even detailed this SL. When I purchased the SL, it did not come with a hardtop. However, I do have an extra hardtop (needs paint) that I can offer to the winning bidder for $1,500 above winning bid. Also, I forgot to mention a point of originality. Look closely at the underside of the hood and trunk lid, you will notice the original factory paint drips are present. These drip lines have been removed on the vast majority of SL. In a market that is favoring originality as compared to overly restored cars, these small bits of originality that cannot be replicated will add value and desirability in the long term.
