Vehicle Detail

1970 Camaro Z/28 (undocumented) - California Car - Muncie 4 speed - 12 bolt posi 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.... I am selling this car as a clone/tribute or whatever you want to call it as I do not have any documentation proving its a real Z/28. This is not a numbers matching car. This is a rock solid rust free lifelong California car. This car had an extensive driver quality restoration done in 2006.......and has been driven about 5,000 trouble free miles since. I have owned the car for about a year. I have a clean and clear California title in my name. The vehicle is currently registered and can be driven anywhere....this is a turn the key and enjoy daily driver. EXTERIOR: The exterior presents very nicely and is painted the correct code 65 Hugger Orange.....yes...this is a factory Hugger Orange car. The car turns heads and receives compliments wherever it goes. The paint is nice driver/local car show type quality and does show some chips scratches touch ups...etc. When the car was repainted...it was painted with all the trim and weather stripping removed....it was a thorough quality repaint including all the jams etc.. After the repaint....all new emblems...weatherstripping...rubber bumpers.. etc... were installed. I just installed new front and rear bumpers. The body is straight but not perfect and does show minor flaws upon closer inspection. The car is rolling on a set of restored Z/28 wheels and deep tread BF Goodrich Radial T/A's...fronts are 225/60R15...the rears are a meaty 255/60 R15.... The car sits right and drives right.... I would rate the exterior an 8.... and a 5 footer... but I'm picky.... INTERIOR: The interior was completely redone at the time of restoration....the seats...carpet....door panels...and dash pad are new. The interior sports the correct 1 year only low back bucket seats. The correct 4 speed console is in place as well. The dash sports the correct tach and gauges....they all work with the exception of the clock and temp gauge. I would rate the interior an 8.5. MECHANICAL: The running gear was completely rebuilt in 2006 and only has about 5,000 since. The engine is a 4 bolt main 350 that was bored .030 over. A comp cam was installed and has a slight lope. An Edelbrock intake and Holley carb were added as well as a set of Hedman headers..... A Mallory HEI provides the spark. The car runs very tight and strong. The Muncie 4 speed was rebult as needed and new bearings were installed as well as a new Hurst shifter....the transmisson shifts excellent. This car is a pleasure to "go through the gears". The 12 bolt posi rear end was rebuilt and regeared to a 3.42 ratio...aftermarket 30 spline axles were installed as well.....the car is very highway friendly....but still fun to play with.. The starter and alternator were replaced with new units as well. A new Flowmaster exhaust system provides the exhaust note....which sounds lean and mean... This is somewhat of a frame off restoration...even though the underside is dirty....the car has new body to frame and core support bushings......new brakes...and suspension...everything has been replaced .....or redone.. Overall this classic muscle car would make an excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser. This is car that can be enjoyed today. The reserve is well below market value of what a documented 1970 Z/28 would be......Bid to win! THE FINE PRINT.... - This is a bid to win auction. I will not end the auction early. The high bidder will own the car...providing the reserve is met. I want to sell this car.. NOT PLAY GAMES. If you have any questions...please feel free to email me...if you would like to talk in person...please feel free to call me at... (925)550-8289...my name is Joe......if you would like to view the car in person...please contact me so we can set up an appointment. Shipping is buyers responsibility. A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction closing....the balance is due within 10 days of the auction closing. Vehicle needs to be picked up within 30 days of the auction closing. Vehicle will not be released until paid in full funds have cleared my bank... Thank you and good luck...
