Rare Bentley Eight. This is was the Drivers car from Bentley with a firmer suspension and tighter steering than the Rolls Royce it was based on. This beautiful car was ordered new here in the US in a very desirable dark silver with black hides piped in red and dark stained wood. The paint is still in good condtion with very few small chips etc. The interior is in excellent shape as well with supple leather and pristine carpets. The leather dash is still in great shape with no shrinkage. For many years it was owned by a college president as his prized possesion. It was bought out of estate after being stored for some years. It was then serviced by a local Factory trained Rolls Royce/Bentley mechanic who did a light service as well as some brake and power steering repair along with some other small items that needed attention.It runs and drives and the suspension and braking system work with no leaks. The car comes with all its books, paperwork and full tool kit. Also included is the silk lined leather pouch made to hold the owners books, as well as the original introduction cassette tape. The original window sticker is also there indicating a new sales price of $108,000 which is approximately $200,000 in todays money adjusted for inflation. We have priced this Bentley very affordably especially for its condition. Many cars of this age have considerably more needs. If you are looking for a good solid car you can drive and improve upon, This could be it. It would cost many thousands of dollars to bring a lesser car to this level.
