1961 Gilera S Sport 175 cc 4 speed 4 Cycle Vintage Motorcycle …….What a bike, if I weren't moving abroad, there would be no chance in hell I would be listing it. This is a one family-owned motorcycle, comes almost all ORIGINAL and was imported from Salerno, Italy 3 years ago (I have posted a picture of when it arrived in the U.S.) Since then, it has been almost fully restored: The engine was rebuilt (piston replaced), spokes & wheels replaced, new handle bars, repainted, new chain, tires, and other miscellaneous fixes. Only the gearbox was not opened and rebuilt, and since it sat for a number of years (in a garage), there is a slow but steady oil leak coming from the gear box. If you have the time and patience I would recommend servicing it as I didn't have the chance to while also having to work a full time job. The engine turns on and it has been rode for roughly 200 miles since restored. The throttle will need replacing as currently the throttle cover is not closed (these can be found on ebay for approximately $75). It has all season tires in very good condition (see pics) and has always been garage kept. This 1962 Gilera Motorcycle is located in the downtown LoDo area of Denver Colorado and I am available to assist with shipping for in and out-of-state bidders. It comes with the original italian registration booklet registered in my name. This motorcycle has never been registered in the United States but it has cleared customs and was imported legally.
