Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my '66 Mustang. It is a very original car with all it's Factory body panels, date codes, and matching numbers. It was bought from a friend of the second owner who got it from his Father-in-Law. The car was restored a few years ago and when I bought it, I finished it off to where I thought it should be. I'm a retired, genuine car nut, approaching 70, who just loves working on classics. I've been in the automotive industry since I was 16 and still have the same passion for cars. This Mustang has always been garaged and adult owned. EVERY SINGLE ITEM ON THE CAR WORKS AS IT SHOULD! Lights, horns, radio, flashers, reverse lights, heater, wiper & washers, EVERYTHING. The automatic choke works fine, the engine starts instantly, no noises, smoke or rough idle. The motor runs like a Swiss watch. The transmission shifts smoothly and there are no strange noises as you drive. Period! The top is power and operates perfectly. Easy to park with power steering. I had a new carpet installed, as the original was faded, and replaced the driver's seat cover only. All glass is original with factory markings, windows all roll up and down with ease, all the locks work correctly, panel gaps and fit are very nice as the car has never been apart. Very rare original FoMoCo side view mirrors. It even still has the original single exhaust system as when new. The guy I bought it from said there had been a couple of metal patch panels welded in and when the rug was up, I saw them. Very nicely done and the floor is as solid as it could ever be. When the seats were out, the original build sheet was found in the bottom of the passenger seat and it shows the numbers match the door tag and buck tag. The doors close with that distinctive "click" like when new. This is a great car to show or just enjoy. It performs amazing! I also put in a brand new battery with an Autolite top. There are no drips under the car and it does have the original drive train. Please look at this car in person if you are able, I just need some lead time to show it to you. Continental US bidders only please. If you have low or negative feedback, excessive bid retractions, contact me to discuss otherwise your bid will not be allowed. I take this Auction very seriously and expect you to do the same. Car & Title will not be released until all funds have cleared my Bank. Please do not ask my Reserve as I prefer to keep it private. Best of luck bidding...If you would like to see more pictures and a brief description, just click on any Large picture and it will bring up a Photobucket album.
