Vehicle Detail
1934 Ford Sedan Delivery Hot Rod Vin number MICH811873 CA license plate number 3AEC659 Very cool 1934 Ford sedan delivery (single rear door) painted red with black fenders, black vinyl roof insert, and triple black pinstripe. The body, suicide doors and fenders are fiberglass and the hood is steel with a stainless steel hood center molding. 6,955 miles showing on the odometer, but cannot verify actual miles on chassis or drive train. Engine is a 3.8L V-6 out of what is believed to be a 1983 Ford Mustang same year and model for the Ford automatic transmission. Our mechanic says the frame is an original 1934 Ford and the car is titled as such, but the rest of the drive train could all be 1983 Ford Mustang, including the steering column (which does NOT tilt) but has a Ford key. No power steering, no air conditioning and no power windows. No front license plate or front license plate bracket. Ebay did not accept the vin as it appears on the lower driver side windshield tag (MICH811873) so we had to put all zeros in to fulfill the listing. Gray plaid cloth seats, black carpet, black dash, black vinyl door panels and headliner and Boyd aluminum rims. The Boyds have BF Goodrich P225/70 SR15 M+S 100S T/A radials on the rear and BF Goodrich P195/60R15 M+S Touring T/A radials on the front. There is NO spare tire or spare rim. 13” leather wrapped steering wheel with the horn button center missing, but there is a horn button under the dash for the two black and chrome Sparton CL-4 horns mounted under the headlights. The exterior trim is all genuine looking 1934 Ford and most likely reproduction including the grill, greyhound radiator ornament, gasoline cap, front and rear bumpers, taillights and tail light brackets, door handles, etc. There are exterior door top “peep” rear view mirrors on each side. The stock looking cowl lights have amber turn signal bulbs in them. The running boards will need to be recovered as they are peeling. There are smaller style headlights that are dull and can be enjoyed as is or be re-chromed if desired. The dash looks like an aluminum billet style with “Classic Instruments” installed and all are functional. All the lighting works, turn signals work, radio might not work as we cannot figure out how to play with it. It is mounted above the inside rear view mirror on the front of the headliner and is a Clarion AM / FM cassette, model 8825RT. The windshield wipers do not work and there is a hole in the top center of the cowl where a windshield washer nozzle should be mounted, but it is not present. In the back there is black carpeting which is in good shape, black vinyl headliner and thin luan type paneling with two speaker cutouts on each side with cloth. We do not know if there are speakers or speaker wires inside the paneling. While this car was just traded to us for another one from our collection, we do know there are newly installed Flow-Master style dual exhaust pipes and mufflers. We did $1,800.00 in service to this car with our mechanic which included a transmission service and new trans cooler hoses, replacing fuel tank filler hose and boiled out / cleaned out fuel tank, new fuel pump, lube, oil and filter change, new air filter, rebuilt starter solenoid, new brake master cylinder, new spark plugs and spark plug wires and tune up, rebuilt carburetor, new starter button installed underneath the dash, replaced battery, and all lighting, safety, braking, turn signals checked for proper operation, so this car should be ready to drive and enjoy. There are no leaks underneath the engine or transmission. We have too many other projects, so we are letting this one go to a new home. The California title is in my name but the car is not currently registered. There are some miscellaneous chips in the paint around the car and it could use some freshening up, but otherwise it is a great car to get in and go. This is a no reserve auction and the winning bidder is the new owner. Please email with any questions you may have in advance of bidding. Car is in Pasadena, California and can be seen by emailing in advance to make an appointment. This car is sold as is, where is, and there is NO WARRANTY expressed or implied, and, as mentioned before, we took this car in trade and have no history of driving it around other than locally to get work done. But the car does really drive well. We will work with your shipper when the car is paid in full and the buyer holds the responsibility of paying for shipping or picking up the car. We do not ship and we do not deliver.
