After owning an Elise, and a Gallardo I opted for the R8 V8 for my next supercar. I couldn't be a happier owner! Compared to the Lamborghini and Ferrari the R8 V8 is affordable and comfortable as a daily driver. The magnetic suspension provides for a very smooth ride over rough pavement, and stiff suspension when you hit the canyons. The original exhaust was fairly quiet and I was looking for something with more of a growl so I upgraded to the GMG WC-R8 GT Exhaust ($6,600 installed). The exhaust completely changed the attitude of the car and really makes heads turn. The R-Tronic transmission shifts firm with no clutch issues, tires have 85% tread remaining, engine is a reliable beast with around 440hp after the exhaust. I've driven it from California to Colorado a few times and have nothing but great things to say about owning it.
