"Snap Shot In Time" This 1952 Chevy Fleet Side 3100 Service Truck is a page taken from the past! It represents a day in 1965/66 this 13 yr old service truck, may have been on a service call or it may have picked up parts from the local wrecking yard (Worshil's Auto Wrecking). It may have been to Adelman's truck parts. It may have had Albert Zane Hershey (fictious), kids in it in the morning taking them to school. It may have went and picked up lunch a Bob's Big Boy or McDonalds, could even be headed for a picnic or a local restaurant or a few late night beers with the boys. Maybe even towing the race car to the Local Racetrack (Canton Motor Speedway). This Gulf Oil Service Truck has Gulf Work Order Tickets, Gulf Credit Card Applications, Gulf Business Books, Mr. Peanut mechanical pencils, Gulf matches, Shiltz Beer can opener, Authentic plastic Jesus on the dash next to Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistle (Authentic), Gulf mini magnetic screwdriver, Newspaper from 1965, Cigar box, Vintage metal spinning top ~ kids toy, safety equipment, snow brush and ice scraper, 5 Gallon Gulf Grease bucket, Army "Jerry" gas can (Authentic), Vintage Coke ice cooler with Coke and A & W still full and capped excellent for displaying on ice in the cooler. Vintage Kennedy Tool Box with STP sticker and full of Vintage hand tools, hand drill, clamps, screwdrivers, tin snips. 2 oil fill cans with adjustable spout, tow chain, chisels etc, Authentic solder seal, emergency flash light with white and red lights with lantern battery, tow chain, jumper cables. The STP box on the floor has in it: a paper Budweiser Draft beer cup, and miscellaneous garbage with Beeman's gum trash, used crush service ticket, Wrigley's empty matchbook cover empty and an old stick of Trident chewing gum. Also gas station rags in cab and rear of truck. Parts inside cab and inside bed: new starter, new water pump, new brake shoes, new carb kit all in (Original) boxes excellent condition, 2 One Qt. flexible spout oil cans, 1 Gulf oil, 1 Regular with old patina, freeze plugs on display card, used tires, Original jack and handle that came with Pick Up, lug wrench, used auto parts. Safety equipment included: flares, reflectors, spot light, blue emergency lights, safety flares are mounted on back wall, kick panel mounted fire extinguisher. Budweiser Picnic basket, (complete picnic set with plates, cups, red and white checkered table cloth and french fry basket), Beeman's Gum (Authentic) Almost All Vintage Correct Parts Searched far and wide to find them. You are bidding on a 1952 Chevy Pick Up and all service truck accessories that are almost all period correct, VIN # BM11720214KPD 3100 FLEETSIDE: Original 235 Six Cylinder recent synthetic oil change, has 12 Volt system using generator period correct that has newer 12 Volt capacity, thus making a 12 Volt system. New tires "HIWAY TREAD" , 3 Speed Transmission (Rebuilt) 3 speed on the column , new Clutch Pressure plate and throw out bearing, flywheel resurfaced, Original enclosed torque tube drive shaft, new brake shoes, suspension and brakes very tight does not pull or wander, Truck drives straight and stops straight and drives very nicely !! All instrument lights and gauges: water, oil, amp etc. work. Speedometer works but needle has fallen into gauge and needs to be taken apart and put back on. Has extra range fuel tank, (Tank from Cleveland Ohio in bed that is hooked up and working). Original fuel tank clean and still operational in cab, wood side boards ~ with Coke bottle opener, has Blue Emergency Lights on front bumper push bars, optional push bars on front bumper, period correct CB antennas recently installed, tailgate and chain locks are fully functional, new wood in bed floor, new exterior door handles and new chrome Chevrolet Emblems on hood. "Rare" Metal Truck Sun Visor with chrome trim. "52" Model radio, non-functional in bed of truck from 1952 pick up (parts). Dual CB antennas (authentic) as shown in last photo, recently installed. Upholstery is great condition, period correct original seat cover material and original seat frame and foam. New rubber floor mat, emergency brake system all complete but cables need lubricated. Lights fully functional including dash lights, rims have been powder coated but have some pitting patina to keep vintage look. Doors open and close very solidly, front cowl vent opens, wing windows open and closed nicely. New air filter (in original air cleaner assembly, converted from oil type and fully functional), new battery, (battery has been moved from side of frame to under hood firewall mount). Section of floor has been replaced just in front of seat to lower angle of firewall about 18" to 20" from side to side Nicely done. Heavy duty vented rear rims, all miscellaneous parts and items are there example bell housing lower sheet metal cover is still present.
