Up for auction is my 1996 Honda VFR 750. I bought this bike in 2001 with body damage and 10K miles on it. Over the years I bought different plastic parts to improve the body work, and I purchased a fiberglass lower section to replace the damaged plastics. I painted the fiberglass to match the factory color combo, but the color is not an exact match. This has been a great bike over the last 13 years; I am parting with it because my back and shoulder required me to get a more upright riding position. I still love to take this bike around town as it is way more maneuverable than my big bike. I've done lots of maintenance and repair on the bike over the last few years. A few of the more recent services with the mileage completed... 30K - valve adjustment check39K - new chain40K - replaced stock style regulator/rectifier (failure prone on these bikes) with a 3 Phase Compu-fire which eliminates this problem, replaced battery at the same time with a gel battery41K - new Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires (last set lasted 8500 miles)41K - oil change42K - rebuilt calipers and new brake pads front and rear This bike is in great shape, there is no reason you couldn't fly in and ride it home. The only real issues with this bike are the cosmetics. The tail light area has some damage although I have another set of side/tail panels that come with the bike. The right mirror has a section of the glass missing. The bike is stock except for the D&D can. I know that these VFRs are not as popular as the inline 4 sport bikes...but you can be sure that you won't buy a more reliable bike for what my reserve is.
