Vehicle Detail

2009 Speed Triple 1050, black, great condition, 12k miles and a ton of extras. This bike is an icon and it sucks to see it go. I'm the second owner and I bought it in perfect condition in 2011. It sounds great, rides great(130bhp), looks clean, gobs of torque and speed. I did months of research before buying this bike and I decided on it because it didn't look like anything else on the street. Every review I read said that it was outstanding, but even if it didn't finish at the top of the pack in streetfigther shootouts it was always the rider favorite for its incredible grin factor. It was worth every cent. I must sell it to make room for another car.It has been garaged for 95% of its life so it looks great. Never dropped, wrecked, or dinged. It has been through regular maintenance, the previous owner and I have done all the oil changes with Royal Purple 10w40. The last time it was at the dealer was at 12k miles for its schedule maintenance check. Valve clearance was also checked during this service. Tires are a year old with 1k miles, but still have tread because it was rarely out the last 8 months. I just changed the oil at 12,300, put on a new D.I.D chain, and upgraded the charging system. Triumph is notorious for charging system problems and this bike was not some magical exception. The first stator burned up at 7k miles and was replaced under warranty. In the last thousand miles I started having charging issues again so I made a project of fixing the system rather than replacing the parts like triumph would have you do. Upgraded to a Compu-Fire R/R (55402) 40A and installed a new wiring harness, battery and stator. Now the bike charges like a beast.Bike also came with a belly faring, seat cowl, windscreen, fender eliminator, gel seat, tail bag, tank bag, two brothers carbon fiber exhaust that has been tuned to the bike, power commander (not installed), tank pad (just installed a new one), bar-end mirrors, and viberider which is in the passenger portion of seat but not hooked up. I also replaced the locking fuel tank cover with a screw type so you don't need the key to fill up the bike. The new black cover matches the bike better than the gray one before. I also have frame sliders, bar-end sliders, engine covers, fork sliders, and four modded turn signal all from Rizoma which are not installed, but will come with the bike. At one point I installed some of the sliders, but ended up not caring for the way it changed the look of the bike. Your tastes may be different though.Don't bother with the newer speed triples, they look ridiculous. If you want something that will turn heads and still take off at incredible speed this is it. I've taken her up Glendora Mtn, Palomar Mtn, and all over San Diego, everyone always comes up and asks about it.
