Vehicle Detail

For sale is this super rare, collectible and highly-optioned 1988 Chevrolet Corvette Z01 35th Anniversary in mostly all-original condition! This car is a SURVIVOR! Sequentially numbered 785 out of only 2,050 built - how many remain is anyone's guess...The numbered dash plaque is missing but I have written verification from General Motors that this car is indeed #785 based on the VIN. RPO Z01 refers to the 35th Anniversary Corvette and has been verified on the RPO sticker located underneath the center console armrest. Should you like to read more about the RPO codes here's a link: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/c4/1988/88anniv.html#.Uvg0fZqPI5s I purchased the Corvette with the intention of restoring it but I've since lost interest due to finding another project that I've found myself directing my passion toward. The Corvette appears to be mostly all original with the exception of the seats, added rear wing, added Borla exhaust and the factory stereo is missing. The Corvette starts right up, runs and drives - I transferred the title into my name last November but I haven't finalized the registration due to the car needing to get CA smogged. To the best of my knowledge based on a visual inspection all original smog components are present yet I cannot confirm this - buyer to do their due diligence. The rear Y-pipe leading from the catalytic converters to the Borla mufflers needs to be replaced - I purchased a new Flowmaster replacement Y-pipe which will be included in the sale. I was going to replace the Y-pipe before taking it to get smogged... Somewhere along the line someone replaced the original seats with seats from a newer Corvette - I did track down the original seats - they could use a re-cover - which I will offer to the winning bidder outside of the auction for $600 - what I paid for them - should the winning bidder be interested. I can also set up a Buy It Now auction for the seats should the winning bidder be interested... The Corvette has some minor body damage on the right side - it was tapped in the passenger door which also cracked part of the hood - there appears to be no damage to the frame area where the door hinges up to the frame. I have an additional passenger side door with window that I will include in the sale as well. The windshield and the dash are cracked and need to be replaced. The Z-rated tires have at least 80-percent tread on them and the Corvette has a new Bosch battery as well. The Corvette is being sold AS-IS/WHERE IS with no warranty. I also have the Corvette advertised locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. I've described the Corvette to the best of my ability based on what I know about it; I accept no liability or responsibility once the sale has been finalized. Winning bidder to pay a $500 deposit within 24-hours of the end of the auction with the remaining balance to be paid within 3 days of the end of the auction or the Corvette will be re-listed and negative feedback will be posted. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!!! Thanks for looking and good luck - grab this piece of Corvette history while you can!
