Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1986 Ford Crown Victoria the basics: 302 V 8 with original 73,000 miles on engine/transmission full multi port fuel injection power steering power drivers seat power brakes factory cruise control *power windows with drivers ability to lockout all windows power door locks power trunk latch power mirrors factory air electric rear defroster *factory AM /FM radio *factory wheel spoke hubcaps and locks great factory full size spare all season tires with 30k on them, drive easy and they should give another 10-20K fresh oil and filter at 73,200 the bad : rear drivers side electric window was killed for a second time by kids I have news gears to replace them. It is a somewhat easy fix. Take off door panel ,unbolt motor ,remove/unbolt gear box ,replace grease and gears. Reverse order to reinstall. Cracked windshield (did/ does pass Pennsylvania inspection as it does not interfere with vision.) In the winter the door handles freeze and you must leave wing vent unlocked to reach in and open the door. Rear view mirror is stained. Smoked in car. Uses a quart of oil every 200- to 500 miles depending how it is driven. It idles a bit rough on gasohol. Straightens out when you use real pure gas. The idle never bothered me as it is so slight. The drivers side door has rust through on the bottom. They body work and paint should be done to give this car longetivity. It is missing one center cap. Easy find at the junkyard also. Radio and speakers suck.Dash has crack in middle and a holes where speakers are. The good: No dents. A few scuffs. Always starts and runs well. It is a large comfortable car for long or short drives. Air was fixed and working last summer. I once drove this car to Cincinnatti , Ohio, an 8 hour drive and checked the transmission fluid and it was not even hot. Just lukewarm, indicating to me that this transmission will last forever as heat does kill transmissions. Real chromed steel bumpers and full steel frame for protection. I used WD-40 and gooey undercoat when I first got this car and did the doors, pillars, rockers, frame, body, etc. I also did the wires and cap and plugs somewhere around 45,000. I also did shocks. I cannot remember if it was front or rear, but I think it was the rear. Stainless steel exhaust pipe Y by Munksgard I love this car and hate to sell it , but We have 4 drivers and 8 cars . Somethings go to give
