1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe This vehicle is in great condition for a 67-year old car. It cranks upon every attempt and runs well. The ONLY reason I'm selling it is because I have acquired too many toys and need the garage space. It had one repaint many years ago, but the paint is a beautiful gray patina. The engine is a straight flathead 6-cylinder with dual carburetors, split manifold, dual exhausts, 3-speed on the column with 2-speed electronic overdrive. Cruising speed is 65-75 mph with 20+ mpg. There are new radial tires, new air shocks, and upgraded front disc brakes. The kingpins and ball joints have been replaced and aligned. Electrical system is the original-style 6-volt that is fully functional, but it also has a 12-volt accessory plug (for GPS, etc...) and a 12-volt windshield wiper motor. Half of the glass is stamped 1947, and the remaining is stamped 1957. The driver's door interior panel shows some wear, as does the rubber flooring under the pedals. The front passenger door window has a crack. The radio does NOT work at this time. Pick-up must be within 2 weeks of auction's end and is the responsibility of the buyer. A $500 deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction's end. The remaining balance is to be paid in CASH at time of pick-up. There are no major rust problems with this car , just some surface rust as seen in the photos. On the bottom exterior of 2 doors are pencil easer size (one each) holes .
