Vehicle Detail

This vehicle is a GREAT one-owner Automatic Hybrid that can get 53 MPG. Runs absolutely smooth and quite. Very few minor imperfections (scratches) on some body panels and you can see them if you look carefully within the high resolution pics I've provided so that you can zoom right in. If you'd like to save some money and view the vehicle history report I can email it to you. I have a copy that I ran last night on AutoCheck.com. I'd be happy to provide it to you. I am a Honda Civic Hybrid FAN! These cars can't be beat. Solid, dependable and great gas mileage. I just recently sold my 2003 Civic Hybrid in December to a gentleman in California through EBay. It had 186,000 miles. The reason for me selling that one is I upgraded to a 2010 Honda Insight that has a hatchback which has its pluses. My newly married daughter needed to establish some credit so I bought it and had her carry the loan for a few months before we pay it off so that she can get some good credit established. It's funny, she's 26 now and has more money than me but never carried any debt. She always pays cash but that is not the way to do it when you start trying to go for a mortgage. Well, now I know better for the grandkids. This is my hobby and passion, Civic Hybrids that is. See, I'm a 52 yo Sr Operations Manager for an Aerospace company who has a close friend who happens to be a dealer. He allows me to purchase several of these cars from him throughout the year at a slight mark-up over wholesale / dealer cost. This then allows me to post them here which has turned out to be sooooo easy to do. The cars sell themselves because of their great mileage and difficulty to find at a good price. On top of this, because I have a pretty good job already, I simply mark these up so very slightly so that I can make $500 and turn them around very quickly. I've sold eight (8) of these over the past 3 years to people in CA, TN, IN, GA and the rest here in New England. I know these cars very well and had my last one for 3 years. My daughter even has one. I know how they function and because of this I have full confidence in their longevity. This is unlike a Prius. Way better. This is a gas engine "assisted" by an in-line electric motor powered by the hybrid battery. While coasting and breaking the hybrid battery is charged and when the vehicle needs a boost from the electric motor it simply draws off this hybrid battery. I've seen many a Civic Hybrid that had a "bad" hybrid battery that still ran very well. The drawback here is that you no longer receive the "boost assistance" and your mileage will suffer just a tad. Rather than getting in the upper 40's you will find yourself getting mileage in the lower 40's. I've never had to replace one of these batteries but was told today by someone who has had to replace one that they were able to get a "new" battery, not a rebuilt one, from our local Honda Dealer here in Groton, CT. Their name is Cardinal Honda. He paid $1,450 and said the dealership / manufacture is now doing this for the older hybrids rather than get any bad publicity. This is nice to know. For those of you buying one of these the thing to focus on is the IMA hybrid battery. You don't want that light to be ON which is located on the dash. Additionally, you want to see that the car holds a high charge, even after sitting for a while. This can be found by viewing the dashboards three (3) gauges. The IMA one is the one located on the far right. You will see in my pics it has the fuel gauge to the left hand side of the right-most gauge with the "charge level" on the right hand side of the gauge. If this is high and stays that way you are good to go. You will also find that the top of that very same gauge shows you when you are charging the battery and when you are drawing off it. The bar graph type gauge found at the bottom of the larger center gauge guides you on getting better gas mileage. I was real faithful to this for 2 months and repeatedly got 50 MPG. I have a 75 mile commute each way on the interstate. Once that wore off I found myself driving the 75 mph because I could still get 48 MPG. But for those of you who are real stickers about their mileage, like my daughter is, than you will really benefit. I've included several odometer pics showing you what kind of mileage I'm getting on the car today. The first one you will find is a bit blurry but what it shows is me getting 53 MPG after 16 miles of mostly highway driving on my way home from my friends dealership. You will then find my final destination results were 50 MPG at a distance of 53 miles. The difference between the two is that I "babied" the car for the first 16 miles to see how good I can get the mileage to be. I then traveled the rest of the way home simply driving the speed limit. No speeding and still was able to average just over 50 MPG. Unbelievable. As you will see....... the car is immaculate. The one owner even kept the window sticker and all of the manuals. The spare in the trunk is the original unused tire. I also include a pic of the drivers side side-mirror. As you can see it looks fine but I find it to wander / drift just a bit without me prodding it. There's a remote side mirror control on the dash that works fine. I don't think it requires a replacement mirror. I simply want to be as upfront and forthcoming about everything on this vehicle. If you are looking for a great car, especially if you are a commuter like myself you will find no better. You can look and you will find that I've priced this to sell. You won't find anything like this at this kind of price. For those of you who aren't ready to pull the trigger quite yet please know that I can get more of these as you will likely see over the next few weeks. I only purchase the Honda Civic Hybrids to sell here because it is so easy to do BUT if your looking for anything else I can get that for you too. Tell me exactly what you want, give me a deposit and I will purchase it at wholesale from my buddy and mark-it-up $500 for my pocket. You will likely save about $1,500. The car also has an aftermarket stereo that is Pandora and Sirius capable along with the ability to plug your phone in through it. You will see on some of the odometer pics there's a small microphone attached to the steering wheel column for hands free talking capability. Here's another great deal. I will personally deliver this to anyone who buys this providing they live in the lower 48 states. I will charge you only $0.42 (42 cents) per mile from my home in Ledyard, CT to an airport near you so that I can drop it off to you and get on a plane to return. This will cover the fuel, any overnight lodging and my return ticket back home. I won't be making any money off of doing this for you but I have the time to do it at the moment. I would likely be able to get it to you about 2 weeks from the date of purchase. Please feel free to call me, text me, if you have anything else that I haven't covered here. My number is (860) 984-3543 and my name is Michael. I require a $300 deposit through PayPal within 24 hours from the end of auction. The balance to be paid by cash or bank check when I deliver the car or you pick it up from me. Final transaction must take place no more than three (3) weeks from the purchase date please.
