The 560 SL is a very prized and collectible car, as it was only sold in the U.S. for five years as Germany's answer to the "gray market" 500 SL's of the 80's. Sold new in Redwood City California, this beauty has spent much of its life in the dry Bakersfield California area. No rust anywhere, ever! Lovingly cared for, always garaged, it is as beautiful as the day it was new. Only 130K original miles! That’s an average of only 4600 miles a year its whole life. Most SL’s of this vintage have over 200K but this little beauty has always been used sparingly, mostly just as a weekend car. A correct high-quality repaint was done two years ago in its original color of Smoke Silver Metallic, and it is still flawless! Hard top and soft top. The soft top was replaced two years ago and is like new. The interior is in very good condition; there is some wear on the driver's seat. Very clean, all gauges work. Factory chrome alloy wheels make this beauty really stand out. The motor runs smooth and quiet and has just received a full service.
