Vehicle Detail
Here is a 99.9% intact and original 1987 Shelby Charger GLHS, #203. This car has been sitting in covered parking for about 15 years. A good friend of mine wanted to get rid of it and I purchased it in order to clean up and sell. I am not interested in parting it out as I think the car is too rare and too fixable to throw away. Body: All there/original except the PS front ground effect piece, but I have a replacement that is included. The front and rear bumpers need very little repair to be ready to paint. The fenders are in good condition. The hood has some hail damage but is repairable. The roof has rust in the drip rail area on both sides. The pass side door is decent, the drivers door most likely needs replacing, it is the worst piece on the body. The drivers rear quarter and hatch are good, the pass rear quarter has the pictured damage. Neither side exterior door handles function, the car had an attempted break in and the rods or something in there is bent or disconnected, not a difficult fix. Wheels: Nice curb free condition, typical clearcoat age but they are overall nice. Tires are all junk, a couple wont hold air. Suspension: Original Konis all around, all looks ok, no issues that I can see. Honestly the bottom of the car aged much better than the body, no rot, only minor surface rust at the most, much better than I was expecting. Brakes function but Im sure they need servicing Interior: 100% complete as far as I can see, needs a good cleaning. Seats are faded some, not awful but not great. Radio is removed but included. Engine/Mechanical: Was parked due to a rod knock over 15 years ago, I did not try to restart. 100% complete except a battery and AC compressor. Transmission does not seem to select a gear properly. Clutch engages/disengages. So its definitely not mint, but is a very restorable car and worth saving IMO. All the rare GLHS stuff is there, this car just needs a loving home to bring it back to its former glory. Details:-Title is in route from the state, I may or may not have it by the time the car sells, but you will definitely be getting a clean and clear title (had to apply for lost title, they I should get it in a little over a week as of 3/5/14 when I contacted them). I want to disclose this upfront, I don't want any one to be surprised about any part of the sale. My intent is to fully disclose anything and everything about the car and sale. -Definitely needs to be trailered/towed, I am not going to attempt to make it drivable. -Sold AS IS WHERE IS, you are responsible for transport. It MUST be picked up and paid for within 7 days of the auction ending unless you have made prior arrangements with me. I can deliver it at $1 a mile with my truck and 22' trailer, up to 500 miles. -Cash or Paypal (add 3% for Paypal) Only -Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any point. If you've got to have it and cant wait for the auction to end, make me an offer I cant refuse! -Feel free to text me at 314 540 15fourone, I will do my best top answer any questions and send any extra photos if needed. Car is in a storage trailer until it sells so it will take a day or two for pics if you require more.
