I had bought this 1966 200D from the original owner a month or so ago hoping to restore it but with a small infant and life’s circumstances am forced to sell. This is one of a car, unique in many ways. The previous owner stated that he ordered and picked up the car in 1965. The car briefly was registered out of state as he traveled for work but returned shortly after. Being an airline pilot the car essentially stayed in airport parking lots or in his indoor garage. Looking at the condition of the paint and exterior, I can't doubt that claim. The engine was replaced with a factory m121 motor about 20 years ago so the chassis currently has about 303k miles while the motor has about 160k miles. All mechanical are solid, motor pulls strong, does not smoke but given it’s a diesel, you know what to expect. The interior is near perfect. The seats have no cracks, the dash has no cracks, the Becker radio works, controls work, headliner is ok, right front window crank needs to be fixed. I have done an oil change and inspection and few other repairs. The paint which is original still is a deep brown but shows some patina; I intended not to paint the car.
