Up for sale is a great find, a true time survivor! A piece of history and a movie icon! The 1970 Dodge Challenger was the first year for the Challenger is said to be the most desired year for the Challenger. It was also a main character in the iconic movie Vanishing Point. "And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels." I purchased this car with the intent to do some TLC to it and drive and enjoy it...but with a baby on the way and a few other car being restored, my wife wasn't keen on the idea! You are looking at a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T that has been in storage since 1990! A true R/T 440 car, not a clone! It is not often you find an original car this correct and unmolested! I'm almost positive the car sports the original factory paint! This car came with and still sports a bunch of nice factory options include power steering, front power disc brakes, dash tach, console, remove mirror, am/fm radio, wood steering wheel, mag road wheels and air conditioning. What is really great about this car is that it is 100% matching numbers. I know that is a big deal to MOPAR people! I even have the factory broadcast sheet! VIN stamp on the radiator support, on the engine, on the transmission, on the fender tag and on the dash tag...all match! Not very often you find all this! Car runs and drives well, however, I'd still go through the brakes and check all systems. The car has the original exhaust on it and will need at least 1 new muffler. The car does have a new gas tank and fuel lines. Brand new tires. The car will need a new headliner and new passenger side exterior door latch. The car does have some blemishes on the body but nothing that would need to be fixed right away. The underside of the car is extremely solid. All original metal and panels. Rear quarters and perfect. The interior is all original and in excellent shape. The dash pad has a few cracks but nothing major. The car is located in Cumming, GA 30041 which is about 40 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia.
