Vehicle Detail
Excellent and complete 1962 Willys Station Wagon project with the desirable one piece front and rear glass. My buddy and I are trimming down our collection to one Willys each so this one's got to go. It's got really good bones so it could be the basis for an awesome build. The interior is in very solid shape other than front floorboards that have been previously repaired (see pics). Obviously, it could use seats (I have some cool captains chairs available separately that would bolt right in). Rear floorboards, inner fenderwells and kick panels are solid. And I have some old rear trim panels that could be used as a pattern for the upholstery if you are interested. Glass is good other than two small rock chips on bottom-right of windshield and door windows that have cracked (they still roll up and down fine). Exterior is in much better condition than it appears. Any rust is confined to the rear fenders and lower portion of tailgate (see pics). Rear fenders were repaired once eons ago. If you are considering a cool four wheel drive rat rod build, an easy rear fender fix is to cut the rear arches into a half-circle and bolt on Jeep CJ rubber/plastic fender flares. That would probably address most of the visible rust. I did it to my 1962 Panel Delivery and it looks awesome. All the hard-to-find trim is still attached to the body as well. Running gear consists of a Ford inline six cylinder (170/200cid I believe) engine running through the stock Borg-Warner T90 three speed which is hooked up to the stock Spicer Model 18 twin-stick transfer case. Manual tranny, clutch and transfer case all shift properly. I don't know what it would take to get the engine running. Very possibly not much (everything is there). Front and rear axles are Dana. Rear is out of a Willys truck. I have the truck front axle available so the gear ratio's will match (they might already). It will need a rear driveshaft and rear brake lines hooked up. My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. I also have tons of pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail. Send me your email address and I'll get them to you. And with a tow bar and the decent tires that come with it, it's easily towable if that helps. Also, I'm selling it with a bill of sale only. This sweet 1962 Willys Station Wagon is located in the dry, desert community of Hurricane, Utah (a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
