This is a 1948 Studebaker Champion Starlite. The car does run and drive. First, the body, it has been painted by an amatuer there are sand marks and filler and the paint job looks old school like it was done in someones garage. But very repairable and looks okay from the street. Still presentable. The chrome is all there but to make it show quality you will need to have it chromed. The Driver and passenger side glass is cracked but is flat glass and is still available. The front and rear glass is in good condition. The trunk floor has been replaced and looks good. The floors are solid no holes. The frame is solid. Second, the interior, looks like the door panels,seat and carpeting have been replaced. Head liner, rear kick panels and rear deck look original. Third , the mechanicals, The engine runs good( We installed a new water pump, rebuilt fuel pump, sparkplugs, changed oil and installed a new head gasket. Also new battery. We installed a new master cylinder. The brakes work good. The transmission shifts good but havent tried overdrive. Fourth, The electricals, the head lights and tail lights work. Signal lights dont. Could be just the flasher. The heater motor and radio dont work. The horn works. This car can be driven and fixed up as you go or you can completely restore. It does need work but is a great project car while you drive it. If you need to store the car we can store for free till May for the person who purchases the car. It must be paid for.
