1983 Jeep 4x4 CJ. Wrangler style.6 Cyl/Manual Transmission. Nice older jeep. I just had my mechanic strip it down and straiten out any bodywork and paint it Desert Sand. (actually the exact color is Marsh Grass). It is not a rattle can job, it was hit with a professional grade spray gun and given a very decent paint job. It is in flat as I feel an old jeep should. Top is OD Green.Pretty cool looking and fun to drive. Quite a nice old JEEP and turns alot of heads. I purchased it with the thought of keeping it as a toy. Then I purchased a MG for me and my daughter and she likes the sport car alot more. Way too rough and bumpy for a 4year old. Now this toy must go. The basic mechanics are as when we bought it with the exception of the body work,paint,new steering stabilizer and tune up parts. The prior owner stated.. New brake lines,456 Lockers, Heavy Duty Transfer case, New windshield,Fail Safe thermstat,new clutch. Jeep starts right up and shifts through all of the gears without issue. 4wd locks in fine and pulls strong, it will put you back in the seat.When I took it to the Local DMV to get the clear title the State Police auto unit looked at it and said the jeep appears to have a new frame. So based on their experienced opinion I am inclined to agree. No rust there. Floor pans and Tub are in nice condition.Would make a great toy to run around town or head off to the mud hop. Not something I would use for a long commute to work daily. They make corollas for that. The tires hold air nicely but are well used and considered to be of little value.This is an old JEEP so please expect imperfections and feel free to come and see in person to form your own opinion.
