This is a very fine 2006 BMW R1200GS that I have owned since new. It runs and handles perfectly, and it has never let me down. It is fully equipped for adventure touring with ABS brakes, BMW Vario expandable panniers, BMW heated grips, BMW hand guards, engine guards, an Aeroflow windshield with lowers (the absolute best set up for touring on a 1200GS), a Throttlemeister stainless steel speed control, a stainless steel oil cooler screen, and a Touratech shift lever. I'm not certain of what I paid for the accessories and options, but certainly $2000 - 3000. The Metzler tires are in very good condition, and will not need replacing for thousands of miles. The sealed battery will be good for years to come. The motorcycle runs perfectly and handles equally as well. It is in very good cosmetic condition, with one minor scrape on the left fairing (see photo). The bike has never been dropped or abused in any way. I have kept it in my garage the entire time I have owned it. Gas mileage is quite good, averaging around 45 mpg, with highway cruising at legal speeds around 50 mpg. Most of the miles have been on back roads, including trips from Florida to Oregon and back and Florida to Ontario, Canada as well. The motorcycle has been 100% reliable wherever I have taken it. It has been off road a time or two and performed very well on dirt trails. This motorcycle is the perfect example of why the BMW R1200GS is so widely respected around the world. You can spend $15,000 - 20,000 on a newer used GS, but there is no reason to. This motorcycle performs amazingly well and will take you whoever you want to go. I sure you will appreciate its abilities and enjoy it as much as I have.
