Up for auction is a black on black 1989 BMW 325i e30 with 140,000 miles and an automatic transmission. I have a clean and clear title in my name. I purchased this car a few months ago as a daily driver and it has become more of a project than I am up for. It is an old vehicle which will need attention and resources. Since I have owned the car I have had to replace the battery as well as a coolant hose, air intake boot, and 2 belts - the cost of ownership is proving to be higher than I can handle. As a result, the car is up for auction with no reserve.Here is a little bit of information about my e30:The Bad:The car has been running rough recently - the idle speed is not steady.There are a few small rust spots.The rear bumper is cracked - part is missing - it's currently covered with black duct tape.One head light is cracked.One lower lamp is missing.The anti-lock brake light is stuck "on" as well as the oil change light (which never turns off - even when the car is not running).AC may not be working.The Good:The car is stunning black on black - even the stock bottle cap wheels are black right now but they are only plasti-dipped so they can be returned to stock silver if you wish.The black vinyl interior is in exceptional condition.All the windows work - even the sunroof.A previous owner installed an aftermarket radio and rear speakers - there is a USB port which will play music from a iPhone or iPod.The rear tires are pretty new winter tires.This car will likely need more repairs and attention in the coming months but it is a beautiful car that is a pleasure to drive when it is running smoothly. The erratic idle needs to be addressed and fixed. Currently the car is at Orr Autosport which is where we will meet to complete the sale. I am willing to accommodate shipping at the buyers expense. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due through PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the remainder of the balance is due in cash at the time of pick up (within 72 hours of the end of the auction). The idle issue has caused the car to stall and drive poorly at times. With the extremely cold Minnesota winter weather we are experiencing right now, I don't think it would be worth the risk of a break down. We're in for negative temperatures this week and I can't recommend driving the car for a long distance in good conscience - especially in that type of weather. Even driving locally might be risky with the cars tendency to stall and idle erratically. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you.
