Vehicle Detail
Up For Adoption Is A Show Quality Restored Vintage Honda XR75 that Resembles A First Year Production 1973 KO model. Low Reasonable Reserve Set Well Below The $1000’s Invested. I t’s been lovingly stored and preserved in a legitimate temperature / humidity controlled smoke free Indoor Asian motorcycle spa since a very meticulous show quality restoration. Affordable Health Care Is NOT Included! It Would Make A Great Beer Can Or Pizza Box Holder For The Man Cave! A great bike to add to the collection. Frame Number : XR75-1120911 (From A 1974 Model) Frame number is very hard to read because the powder coating has kind of filled in the numbers a bit which is common with powder coating. The frame number is a 1974 model and engine number is from a 1975 model but the bike is restored to resemble a 1973. Engine Number: XR75E-1208498 (From A 1975 Model) Actual Miles Are Unknown. Miles Since Restoration: < 3 Very Easy Street Miles *** PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ ENTIRE DESRIPTION PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR BID *** The frame, triple tree. fork bridge, swingarm, front number plate, foot pegs, kickstamd, air box, chain guard, number plate stay, perches, throttle housing, brake pedal, seat pan and everything else black was bead blasted and powdercoated. The left side mag cover and clutch cover were powdercoated silver. The tank, fenders, fenders, and side number plates were professionally restored and painted. New decals. Inside tank was cleaned, etched and coated with POR-15. The handlebars, round mag cover, rear brake stay, brake arms, kick starter, axels, fender brackets, lower “J” chain guard, chain adjusters, cam cover, intake, exhaust flange, and inner/upper fork tubes were rechromed. The hubs, brake panels, handle bar mounts, lower fork tubes, were professionally polished. All new CHROME bolts. It has lots of new parts including: grips, levers, petcock, fork bolts, hole plugs, fork seals, dust seals, grommets, stem nut, spokes, rims, tires, tubes, chain, sproket, fuel cap, decals, seat cover, shocks, carb, cables, brakes, wheel bearings, air cleaner, shifter, coil, spark plug cap, and exhaust pipe. Has many sought after parts like the kill switch, correct damage free left side magneto cover, and new reproduction exhaust. The front forks were completey rebuilt and are in need of fresh fork oil. The engine (top and bottom end) were completely rebuilt by a certified and highly experienced Honda mechanic that has built 100’s of motorcycle engines. It has new seals, bearings, gaskets, etc. It may have been bored and new piston and rings added but I can’t recall for sure. It has lots of compression and usually starts on the first or second kick. It idles and runs as good as it looks. The cylinder, head, and cases were bead blasted and left natural..The engine still needs to be broken in and oil should be changed after 30-60 minutes of operation before normal use. Realistically speaking a “100% perfect” does not exist and this bike is no exception. It’s a nicely RESTORED bike but NOT original and not 100% perfect.
