Vehicle Detail

Western car with minimal rust in lower rear of doors and around front and rear window trim. Floor boards are sound and appear rust free. Quarter panels look solid, minor dent in driver quarter and trim. See pictures for details of areas described. 258 six has rebuilt carb and tune up. Runs good. Transmission seems to work well although I have not driven this car more than around the block a few times as its not registered or tagged. Brakes work but need to be checked/rebuilt before car could be driven any distance. Interior is mixed, headliner good, carpet has some bad spots, passenger door panel has a tear, dash is good, front seat needs to be redone. Glass is good, some minor flaws in windshield. The only power option on this car was power steering. Most immediate need to rebuilding drivers door hinges and repairing latch post on body. Door closes and latches, but not fully. Bought and stored this car a number of years ago with some potential projects in mind; parts car for other Hornet projects, conversion to drag or autocross, SC 360 clone. Unfortunately too many projects and something needs to go. This is a solid car that can be restored or converted into other uses. Hate to see it go to U-Pull-It as it'll to shredded and on its way to China quickly. Buyer needs to pay in full through Pay Pal within 5 days. Buyer need to pick-up or arrange for shipping within 7 days. Thanks for looking. On Nov-22-13 at 15:01:36 PST, seller added the following information:Just installed new hinge pins and bushings on driver door hinges. Door is back in alignment and latches fully. Latch post on body still needs attention for the long term.On Nov-23-13 at 13:58:49 PST, seller added the following information:Bleed brakes and reset brake warning light. Fluid was clean. A little air in rear lines. Test drove around the block again, tried some hard stops. No warning light, but noticed right front tended to lockup. Pulled drum and found a weak retaining spring on front shoe. Replaced and test drove again. No longer locked up. Stops OK for 9 inch drum brakes. Brake shoes look good. Noticed there is an exhaust gasket leak between intake and exhaust manifold. I'll throw in a set of intake and exhaust gaskets for successful bidder.
