1963 Impala 2 door hardtop. 283 2 barrel carb. Powerglide transmission. Very complete, original car. Clean Michigan title. Odometer shows 97819 miles. This Impala spent its whole life in the south and was last on the road in 1990 in Tennessee. In 92 it was brought to Michigan and has been in clean dry storage until this year. I bought the car and rebuilt the carb, changed the oil, installed a spin-on oil filter adapter and a new oil filter. The 283 runs great, starts right up, idles smooth and gets the monster down the road. The powerglide shifts fine into all gears. The brakes could use bleeding but it stops and the car can be driven although I would not recommend an interstate jaunt without a thorough mechanical inspection first. The body is one of the better unrestored ones I've seen. It has been repainted but not recently. The hood is probably the worst where it has rusted through behind the forward trim where it must collect water. The rear body mounts have some holes. The floors and trunk are solid, as are the inner rockers. The paint on the roof has a small spot where it is lifting and flaking. On the interior the front seats need recovering. The headliner is near perfect shape. The door panels appear to have some water damage. Rear seat and panels are good. Dash is in nice shape with original radio. Delivery is possible within 200 miles of 49002 for $1.25 per loaded mile. Delivery cost and 10% non-refundable deposit paid up front, the balance in cash apon delivery. I can work with the buyer on using a shipping company if you want it shipped further than 200 miles. Please ask any and all questions.
