THIS IS A RELIST DUE TO BRUCEWILLIAMSJR18 NOT HAVING A CLUE AT WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE SAID HE WAS NOT TRYING TO BID. WHAT? SERIOUSLY? AND THEN HE LEFT ME BIZARRE FEEDBACK...WEIRD FOLKS OUT THERE...THIS COSTS A LOT OF MONEY TO SELL ON EBAY PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUS AND IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 5 FEEDBACKS I EXPECT A PHONECALL BEFORE BIDDING. NOW THAT THATS OUT OF THE WAY....LETS HAVE AN AUCTION You are bidding on a family heirloom. My 1972 Chevrolet C-10 pickup. It was purchased new by my grandfather back in 1972 a few weeks after I was born. I was born Nov. 2, 1972 so it is about to be 41 years old. It is a base model truck and the build plate is still on the glovebox door. Only option was the 307 V-8 and automatic transmission. It is a long bed. The truck has only 104k + original miles on the original motor. The transmission has been redone a few times over the years per my pawpaw word. I have ZERO paperwork on the truck except for the title. I have a ton of old pictures tho to prove its been ours all these years tho. As you can see by the pics the truck needs some restoration work. It was used in the grandfathers lumberyards and has never had a roof over its head. It has been banged up and repainted several times over the years. Finally in 1997 it was retired to my grandfathers shop to move equipment and trailers around. It has not been registered or insured since 1997. I loved this truck as a kid and went everywhere with "pawpaw" in it. I learned to drive in it. I have pulled boats to Texas and florida in it. I always told him. "When you die or get ready to cut her loose....I want it!" He finally let me have it as he has gotten very old and in poor health. In January 2013 I immediately dug it out of the woods and had our company mechanic get it running again. -the engine was taken down and new gaskets were installed thruout -heads were sent out and reworked with new valve stems/seals -new belts and hoses -new fuel pump -new spark plugs and wires -new fuel and oil filters -new choke installed thru to the dash -carb rebuilt -a good degreasing and a little touch up paint under the hood. I had all this done and then my job transferred me to Chattanooga and the truck stayed behind in our Cartersville locations parking lot. My dad is the president of the company and he said "leave it until you can figure out something." 11 months later it still sits!!! The thing is I have nothing I can do with it now. Its to ugly to park at my house. The Homeowner association would have a fit! I have 2 young kids and wife earning her doctorate in education allows NO $$$ for me to tackle this project. I would love to see a buyer fix her up and make her roadworthy again. The truck is pretty solid but has typical rust thru in the rockers and door bottoms. The frame is solid. Georgia truck for 41 years. Bed is solid and fenders are too. The truck will need to be towed. At least 1 tire is flat and punctured and the gas tank is removed and in the bed of the truck. This was due to the fact someone stole my gas cap and it allowed the tank to fill with rain water. No attempts were made to start the truck since January. So the fuel lines should not have water in them. I hope not at least .. Door mirrors were stolen too. But everything else is complete. bench seat is in good shape for age. No rips or tears. It has power steering that my grandfather added himself back in the 80's and it worked great! NO power brakes and they are a little frozen up. The shocks are also dangerously worn. After I got the truck running again I drove it about 5 miles down the road and anything over 35 mph felt extremely dangerous. That's is how bad the shocks are. Ha! The NON POWER brakes will stop the truck if you stand on them. They are a lil rusty and frozen up though. This will need to be addressed. So basically with a good set of tires, shocks, reinstall the tank, some tuning and a lil brake work you could have this thing back on the road in a weekend. I can help load the truck at pick up. We have a Lull and forklifts and manpower so we can get her loaded up on a trailer no problems. The last pic is me and my daughter at her ballet recital....I always like to put a face with a name. Anyway bid away and if you have any questions I will be glad to answer them. 7065083nine6three my name is Joe...God bless and go DAWGS!
