Vehicle Detail
I'm selling this car for my friend. He has me sell here on ebay cars that he takes in on trade at his car dealership. These are cars that he may normally sell to a wholesaler or send to a dealer auction because of mileage or condition. I cherry pick the best to sell here to the public. Each vehicle receives a quick test drive and visual inspection. These cars are sold as is. No warranty. I can set up a time for you to inspect the car before you bid if you choose. I do my best to disclose everything I can find in the short time I spend on each vehicle. Up for auction is this Outback Limited. This car runs and drives unbelievably well. It has had work done recently including new head gaskets and a new clutch. The interior is in great shape. It only has 2 interior cosmetic problems. The first is the rear moon roof interior panel, that you would slide forward if you didn't want to see the glass, seems to have come off its track and was removed. This is common and most people simply leave them out. The panel is in the trunk and can be put back in. All clips seem to be on it. The other issue is the rear hatch panel is taped on. It probably just needs a couple of very inexpensive plastic clips to hold it on. The seats are very comfortable. Interior is upscale with simulated wood grain trim. This car has heated seats and mirrors. It also has the large stereo with tape, cd and weather band. This car looks sharp and only has a couple body issues. There is rust on the rear fender. There are scuffs and a couple cracks down low on the bumper. There are the normal amount of scratches you would expect on a car of this age. The major problem with this car is that the rear subframe has a substantial amount of rust. If this car is going to be kept for any decent length of time it has to be replaced. THIS IS NOT THE FRAME OF THE CAR. It is a large bracket that bolts to the frame and the car's suspension bolts to it. It is a common problem on this generation of Subaru's. It can be replaced in several hours by someone with some experience. There is also an exhaust leak back by the muffler. This will either have to be welded or a new pipe installed. The rest of the undercarriage is in good shape. All in all this is a really nice Outback that drives like a champ. It has new head gaskets and a new clutch. With a little work this car could easily last another decade. These manual transmission cars are getting harder to find all the time. Good luck bidding and feel free to contact me with any questions.
