Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this very beautiful Light Blue 1973 Volkswagen Convertible! This car has always been a California car since the day it was new! If you have ever owned or driven one of these neat little cars, you know how much fun they are to drive! Just running errands is a joy! And a top-down ride on a beautiful fall evening is pure pleasure! A lot of people restore these cars and some do a good job. But here is a car that has never needed restoring, it’s always been kept in good shape. Runs and drives great! The motor is smooth and powerful and has just received a full service. Doesn't use or leak oil. Front end is tight, no shakes or shimmies. Five new tires about a year ago. One correct repaint five years ago, always garaged so it still looks very nice. I have owned and driven these cars for over 40 years and I can tell you that this one is a keeper. The top was replaced five years ago and is in excellent condition with absolutely no holes, rips, or tears. The headliner has begun to sag a little but is helped out by a few zip ties, looks and works good. All lights and heater work great. All body parts including bumpers are the factory original German pieces -- no aftermarket parts. If you have ever wanted one of these great little cars but didn't want to have to restore one, or pay fifteen grand for one, then this car is for you! All it needs is a new owner. Convertible Beetles have steadily been increasing in value and are sure to go up even more as fewer and fewer cars of this quality exist. This is a very affordable classic. NADA average value is $12,500. Take it to your local weekend "Bug-In" and be proud! Or really enjoy life and drive it every day! Perfect car for that special student.
