Vehicle Detail

New Head, New Fuel pump, New Injectors, New Battery, and untold hours of my time. It runs great gets 30+ mpg and does not burn or leak oil. The transmission shifts perfectly and the tires are 40 to 50% (see photos) I took photos of all 4 (they are all the same make) to show that the front end is not out of alignment/ no improper ware. I have replaced the outside door handles as they are plastic and break when pulled on too hard. Also two inside door handles are new. The hood has some rock chips in it (see photos). The headliner is cheap material and has some marks and scratches (see photos). The drivers side at the rear has a very small dent and scrape. (see photo) No one know who did it so I guess it may not really be there. The most important question a young person will ask is about the radio. AM FM Cassette (a small plastic device with magnetic tape that people record music and talking onto). I have photos of the motor (as if you can tell anything from them). I will not warranty this car as I do not know how you drive. Humans often find humor in the misfortunes of others. Here is my humorous story and car. My daughter picked this car from Craig list against my advise. I rebuild and love old German cars, but they were not what were popular at school, so I bought this 2001 Toyota for more than I want to say. While I don't doubt that it was driven by a little old lady (low mileage for the year); little old ladies do not do very good Preventative Maintenance. I serviced the car right away and decided I did not care for it compared to it's German rivals. (Don't expect hard ball selling) It ran well enough for 6 months or so. It began to have rough running and the service light came on. The codes were for random misfire and lean fuel. After some investigation I resolved the problem by replacing the fuel pump. Shortly after this the battery on the car went on Obama Care then died. After a new battery (2013), my daughter drove it with glee for several more months without telling me that it had an oil leak and the service engine light was on. Eventually she complained that it was no longer getting 30+ MPG and 'acted funny'. To me nothing was funny about it. It was clearly running on 3 cylinders and not all that well on the 3. The codes indicated random misfire and misfire on all 4 cylinders. After a compression check I discovered no compression on one cylinder. I eventually dove into the unknown and removed the head (the motor has to be almost completely disassembled) and replaced the head gasket and all other gaskets. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. The seal replacement stopped the oil leak but I still had little to no compression on one cylinder and the motor worked like a welfare recipient. To save it's life I removed the head and replaced it with a new one and new head gaskets. While this solved my compression problem this did not solve the proper working. Eventually I discovered the Corn Syrup that is put in fuel today had clogged the injectors and they were replaced. This combined with several High Tech treatments saved its life. The car is restored to better than when I over payed for it. Finally I am selling this car because I do not like it. It now works very well but I want to stick to what I know. If you have old German cars let ma know I am always in the market. My misfortune is your gain and humor. This car is on sale on Craig list and E bay and is subject to being sold at any moment. I am about and hour North of Memphis, TN. if you wish to visit the car and Graceland at the same time.On Nov-08-13 at 05:00:04 PST, seller added the following information:The buy it now was listed at 3800. I will also consider any offers.
