Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very nice truck ready for the track, and possibly a daily driver. I acquired this truck from a local performance shop that ported the heads. The owner let the truck sit for 8 months which he agreed to sell since he lost interest. I had the truck fully checked out, and dyno'd at 500rwhp. The work was done at RPM in Clayton, NC. The engine was a crate big block motor 502 bought directly from Chevrolet. The owner had aluminum rectangle heads installed. The TH400 transmission was rebuilt and the rear end beefed up. Make no mistake this truck burns rubber and hauls down the road like no ones business! It is extremely fun to drive, and there is torque all over the RPM power band. It is setup to run down the drag strip as it sits. That being said, it will need some work to be a daily driver if you choose to do so. You can drive it as is down the road, but it is a pain for city driving. There is no power steering. There is no choke on the carb so you have to let it sit and warm up for 10 min, or it will cut off without giving it gas. The MPH, and gas level gage do not work. 116k is the last odometer mileage, so true miles are unknown. The fuel pressure gage works, but when it hits zero, you have 5 sec to find a gas station (ask me how I know). The paint is fading, and peeling on the roof. The interior could use some work to make it look great. The tires are in very good shape, and I have an extra set of hooker strip/drag tires and wheels I can include. The inside has been totally been redone with fiberglass and the seats stitched really nice, so the owner threw some big bucks in there. There are stains on the seats, and some minor blemishes and cracks in parts of the interior. The one thing that is solid is the engine and drivetrain. You could drive it anywhere in the country as it sits, but I would only do it if there was no other choice. This is best for someone who wants to spend a couple grand to make it an awesome street machine, or leave it like it is for the track. There is a little rust in certain parts of the paint, but the chassis is solid. Between the custom headers, engine, tranny, serpentine, etc the owner spent over $15k on that stuff parts alone. I've had my fun with it, and am ready to move on. My starting bid is to get things going, so I will not end the auction early. My buy it now price is $7500, and I will end the auction only for that amount. Feel free to call me at 919*796*9892 with any questions. I have the clear title in hand.
