Vehicle Detail

1924 Dodge Brothers Hack Truck Roadster Pickup, Surf Wagon, Panel Truck, the original transformer. I've had this truck a couple years and it gets more attention than any vehicle I have owned. Probably because no one can believe I still drive it regularly. It is a 1924 and the body is really in nice shape. The only rust through is a couple spots by the passenger side front lower cowl which is hardly worth mentioning. It does have one bullet hole in the hood, but shouldn't all cars have at least one? I was told the rear end is from a 1966 Galaxie, front suspension is a late 30's Ford with disc brake conversion, has the total buggy spring suspension. Engine is a Cologne V6 and C3 automatic from Ford. It has a small leak on the front seal but not excessive. It is pretty fun because in about 30 minutes it can be a Beverly Hillbilly's roadster pickup, a Walton's pickup truck, or the Beach Boys surf wagon we all dreamed about when going to the beach. The wheels and tires are mid 30's Ford wire wheels and hubcaps. It has a new aluminum radiator, starter, and exhaust. It has the fuel tank and battery under the seat, but I have installed a fuel cell under the bed that just needs to be piped up. That way it would free the space under the seat up for other stuff. It is a pretty kool truck, especially if you live by the beach. I don't know much about the motor and transmission, but it seems to run pretty good and has not used any oil between changes. It can be driven as is or modified to your liking. It's a perfect vehicle for advertising and I have done some stuff locally with one of the local merchants. When I drive it I go 20 miles each way to work so it is pretty drivable. I have gone about 60 miles an hour in it but that's about as brave as I am. It drives straight and brakes good, but it has a pretty tall windshield on it. It needs a little work here and there, but overall a pretty fun driver. It has a Tennessee title and the vin number is A5200. The guy I got it from said the number is on the frame by the floor but hard to get to. I know most of the early trucks were titled by the engine number which is long gone. It still has the original Dodge Brothers body, frame, headlights, grill emblem, radiator gauge, and steering box . Not too many 24 Dodges out there so I was never really concerned about not seeing the frame numbers. Just wanted to let you know in case this is a problem in your state. I will help on the shipping on this end, but buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I don't really want to sell it but it's the same story as everyone these days. Bid and bid often! The warranty tag says if you exceed 25mph or 3/4 of a ton pay load you will void the warranty. Based on this tag, it will come without a warranty! Thanks! PS: The black one with the chicken wire sides was an example of how they were used back in the day. Haul your boards or your chickens.
