Vehicle Detail
These 2 trucks were extra parts trucks I had from a restore I did a year or so ago. One is a white crew cab which is believed to be a 1972. The other is a green 2 door that is believed to be a 1973. Both are 2 wheel drive with automatic transmissions. I do not have titles for either truck, as they were purchased for the sole use of their parts. Details of green 2 door: The good: This has what I believe is a 392 engine with about 65,000 miles on it. Interior is near perfect condition, other than missing the bottom part of the seat. The seat back is there, with plastic covering it, and looks to be in extremely good condition. (It is of my opinion that the previous owner either put on or left on the plastic for the duration of the time he owned/drove it.) The dash and door panels are probably about as good as you can get. The wiring doesn't look like it has ever been messed with. Everything appears to work electronically, including the original radio. The motor turned over the last time I tried (this past spring). Even the floor mat is in excellent condition. The grill and trim are in excellent shape, down to the hubcaps. The drivetrain seems to be in excellent shape. All of the glass is good, and this truck also has a sliding rear window. This truck also has usable head/taillights. The bad: The rockers and bed floor are extremely rusted. This truck rusted from the ground up. There aren't many usable body parts on it other than the doors and hood. Inner fenders rusted out around the hinges like they are known to, but it appears that somebody patched them, and they are possibly usable. The tailgate is rough, but could possibly be repaired with some time. This truck is missing it's front bumper, but has the factory rear bumper. Some of the brakes are froze up. Details of white 4 door: The bed is in fair condition. Bedsides are very fair. The bed floor has one big hole in it in the front right corner, but Super Scout sells a patch kit for it. Tailgate is in decent condition. The cab floor is in decent condition, no big holes that I've seen, and underneath looks very solid. The front doors and left rear door are repairable. The right rear door is pretty rotted on the inside bottom, but could possibly be repaired if you wanted to. The right fender is bashed in. Left fender and hood are repairable. but rough. Core support is also rough. Front end came off of a different truck.Around the front windshield is rusted out. Good glass. Has an automatic transmission hooked to what is believed to be a 345. (The engine and transmission in this truck came out of another truck, and was just stored in this truck by me. When they were in the other truck they did run and drive, but that was honestly over 2 years ago.) Inner fenders on this truck are rusted out also, around the hood hinges like they do. Taillights are usable. The dash and wiring has been taken out of this truck. The grill is a little rough, but repairable if you know how to work aluminum. There are also a lot of extra parts from other trucks included with these. Extra doors, fenders, dash items, interior door panels, and tons of miscellaneous pieces. *These trucks do NOT have titles, and are therefore being sold in as-is condition with the intent of being used as parts trucks for someone. Some parts are good, some are bad, and in my opinion there are quite a few good parts. I am a body guy by trade, so saying that something could be repairable is accurate. How long or how much money it takes to repair I can't say, but it could be done. These are also for sale locally so the auction may be ended at any time. Payment must be made within 24 hours of auction end and picked up within 30 days. Shipping, if needed, needs to be arranged by the winning bidder. (Please contact me with any questions regarding shipping.)
